Title: Could you imagine if every game had a warning like this?
Post by: Tupin on December 09, 2008, 07:05:03 PM
"It is important that players save before switching off the Wii console in order to retain data after each play session (see Saving Data, above). If players switch off without saving, the character Mr. Resetti may appear upon restarting. Mr. Resetti's purpose is to teach players the importance of saving. However, parents should be aware that his personality and tone of voice, while intentionally humourous, are authoritative and may be disturbing to young children."

That is an actual quote from the Animal Crossing: City Folk manual. A bit of overkill, but I must admit, I got a bit worried when he pretended to erase my memory card.

Typing in swear words when he asked for an apology was hilarious though, but this is less funny than all the phone calls Nintendo got when the original Animal Crossing came out because parents thought the Gyroids by your house looked like... well... guess.  :P

Must want to prevent calls like that, I guess.  :-\

I wasn't scared when he said he was going to erase my Wild World game.  I was annoyed the first time I had to sit and listen to him ninny.

1. Since when did parents actually READ THE MANUAL?
2. Since when did Nintendo have to be the parents?
3. Since when were kids such wimps they'd get scared/saddened by a videogame mole?!

I rarely dealt with Resetti.  Though he is indeed humorous, if not a tad bit creepy.

Well, I didn't care what he said or threatend to do.
If something happened and I did not like the result/outcome I restarted.
Just kept pressing the, "A" button until he was done.

Anyway- he's More annoying as an "Assist Trophy" on Brawl then anything else

Nayr- X_x;;

He's hilarious. In fact, the warning itself made me laugh.

I used action replay on that game. It got so boring, really quickly.

What a waste of money.

"MOMMY, THE MOLE IS YELLING AT MEEEEEEEEEE ;______; *sobs hysterically*"
"GOOD HEAVENS, I MUST CALL NINTENDO AT ONCE AND GIVE THEM A STERN TALKING TO! >:("

...Sad thing is, it's probably happened before.

Resetti actually did scare me the first time I saw him...
He's funny, but gets old. He needs more conversations.

It was funny reading his words, but when you had to tyoe exactl what he wanted you to and if you missed one icon, it got annoying fast.

I can see how.

I tried looking in my manual for it, but I couldn't find it :(
