I was reading my new Nintendo Power, and I saw an ad for a game called Retro Game Challenge. It's apparently based off of a long running Japanese TV show where a comedian tries to speed run Famicom games called Retro Game Master. You don't play actual old games, just new ones that look old and pull off of many cliches from games of the time.

The humor is supposed to be very wacky and the game doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. So yeah, it will be a first day purchase for me. :)
It seems....interesting? I'll likely pick it up as a review copy, nothing more. Doesn't really interest me :x
It does better than Mega Man 9 at trying to be NES-style! =O...well, not by much.
Still, looks good. Maybe I'll pick it up.
Hm. I might pick it up just to try it out. I need new DS games quite badly.

Oh, and apparently a subtitiled DVD release of the show this game was based on has been hinted at in the manual.

I think that's one of the three Haggle Man games. One of the other games is a ten hour long RPG, so that's good. There's already a sequel in Japan that looks just as awesome.
Oh, and some of the names of the sender-inners of letters in the in-game magazine really push what you can have in an E rated game. (Homer Sexual, for example)
