Especially since today was the first day of finals, I guess they'll just move everything up.
But hey, snow day. :)
Have you had a snow day yet this year?
Seeing as I live in Florida, no. We get hurricanes, and those are always fun. Not sure if there's a special name for them though.
Georgia, so we only get a good snowfall once every couple of years or so. Funny thing is we usually get one snow day on the mere THREAT of snow. Stupid southerners and not knowing how to handle snow XD **I'm from Chicago and so are my parent's so it's no big deal to us**
we had a bad ice storm Friday, but being the d**chebag that he was the super intendant refused to call off a measley half day.

you live in New England? we got some slush on the roads but other then that it was fine so we had school Friday
...Once, for about three hours, but then it left into water by morning...
...Made me happy; I dun like snow, it's very bright...
Nope, we probably will on Thursday, though.
I had one just before Halloween.
had one last year on Valentine's day. :P
We usually get like 2 every year, it's raining now though.
There are two problems with me getting snow days, first, i'm homeschooled, second, it dosn't snow in California (On the coast, anyway)
Its been raining all day yesterday and a little bit this morning though, which is rare, it hardly ever rains here.
Not yet :(
It'll probably snow in January or something D:
Considering I'm in college...no. D=
I'm had a few sick days, though. My professor was sick, not me.
Got one last Monday. I was hoping for them to call it off because of how cold it was going to be with the wind chill.

Apparently schools around here missed being close by 3 degrees. They close if it gets down to 0 degrees.

That's not true. When I was in intermediate school, it go to -10 degrees and school was open.

The roads were icy and it was like 5 degrees Fahrenheit, and they canceled school.
Some kids have to wait like 30-45 minutes at the bus stop because they live so far away, so they cancel school if it's like below a certain temperature.

That happens at my school too, but they still didn't cancel school that day. My mom kept me home because she was like "wtf you people are retarded" >_>

I rather have a half day, then they can't say "we used up a snow day, now the Memorial Day weekend is only four days off".
We've had 3 this 2008. 2 in January, and one just a week ago.
Yeah, at the beginning of the year...
*hopes for another snow day tomorrow* A few schools canceled today for tomorrow at the threat of upwards of a foot of snow or more.
We got one today; its rare enough taht it snows in this city; snow day = what the intercourse here.
Home school, so I don't think I have a very good chance at getting a snow day. D=
I just got one today.
How convenient! Now I get one extra day off for Christmas vacation. :)
Woot, they called another one for today.

-.- Schools cancel for low temperatures because if it's too cold the buses don't start. I don't recall this Byte, but if it is true, then well I guess buses start in -10 degrees weather.
Snow day today!
I have off today, but no signs of any snow yet.
Hey guys, I got a snow day today too. ^_^
Well, time to go and dig the car out that my dumb ass mother got stuck this morning.

They're just called bad weather days. And no, I've never have a snow day seeing as how I live in Florida too.
We have swim practice at 5:30 am, so of course I don't realize we get a snow day until I get to school, and the whole team is stuck outside trying to get rides back.
Oh well. Free day, can't complain.
Today and yesterday
They canceled afternoon classes here. Which didn't help me, since I had a morning class. Not that it matters since I slept through my alarm.
I had a snow day today, but I had to help the office where I work move to a new office, so...I got home when I would have today anyway, which would have been around 1:30 because I would've gotten out at around 1:07 because I would have my last two periods free today.
I kind of wanted to have school today, because it is my easiest day of the 6-day cycle and I would have joined a focused study group for AP Physics during lunch that would help for a test on Monday D:
6-10 inches of snow in like 6 hours, i had a snow day today.
winter storm warning, several inches of snow on the ground with more to come, and I still have to go to work, who the hell goes grocery shopping in a snow storm?

They have something called a "Panic Aisle" that they open whenever there is supposed to be a big snow storm that sells salt and food staples.

YAY! ANOTHER SNOW DAY!
Damn, we got like 10 inches. 0_o
It's intercourse ing DEEP outside. 0_o 0_o 0_o
I got like a foot of snow today, so no school.

My break starts on Wednesday, but we might not have school Monday. If we don't have school on Monday, it'd be ridiculous to come for one day that week.

Hey, it took some people an hour and a half to get to school on Tuesday, so you can judge how my district handles snow days, only if the roads are slippery do they cancel school. The snow melted overnight last night, though.
We got a really long Winter Break because we don't get off school until after Memorial Day.
apparently we're going to have another storm on Sunday where it'll be mostly ice
...Monday late start? hmmm :3
Here in Southern California, we get days of from wildfires. :D They usually last about a week, but then I can't go outside because the air is contaminated. :(

Too wet around here for that.
Lots of trees, but there is a very short period where trees are dry, and even then, they absorb their moisture the second it rains even the tiniest bit.
