What's your pick for the Super Bowl this year?
I'm personally hoping for a Steelers vs. Panthers/Giants Bowl, and as far as I can see that's the way it will pan out.
If the men of steel can beat Tenn. next week, I'm certain they can take on anyone in the league.
3 Pro Bowl defensive players and the number 1 defense across the board on all counts is simply amazing.
However, I know that the Giants may be lurking in the background... for all of their recent mediocrity.
Who;s your picks for best in the league, and who deserves the national title?
With the Titan's defensive injuries and Kerry Collins as QB (when Big Ben is far superior) I'd have to say Steelers vs Gaints. As good as Carolina is at the moment, the Giants have been there before and will win on Sunday to clinch home field.
You can't pick the SB though...as last year showed you can be undefeated and still lose the big game. *HA TAKE THAT BRADY!*
Personally, I'm hoping for a Jets/Giants Super Bowl.

Ugh, I hate Brett Farve so much X_X;;
*is a Bears fan* Not to mention he needs to learn that sometimes retirement is better than causing team havoc

Anyway, I'm not the biggest football aficionado, but haven't the Jets done a lot worse recently?
They lost against SF and almost lost to Buffalo if they weren't given that gift at the end.
I'd love to see the Dolphins in the playoffs. I know they won't make it to the Superbowl, but it would be so sweet to finally see them back in the playoffs.
Lol Sports.
Jets were my favorite team before I started liking Green Bay, and the Jets getting Brett Favre was a plus. So I will have to go with the Jets.
I say Jets, and Giants.
And J_J, they are 9 and 5, which is a LOT better than they have been doing in recent years.
And losing to bad teams doesn't make them a bad team themselves. I mean, the Giants lost BIG TIME to Cleveland.
Again, obligatory sports suck.
Uhm, Like... this is like a Video game type forum, NOT a sports like forum...

Jets disgust me.
And the only way I don;t see Carolina getting to at least a divisional title is if Smith of Mohamed get injured.
Then all hell breaks loose.
Reason why football sucks is because the Saints Suck. Simple as that. :D
Packer maybe?

Hey, you don't live in Michigan. Home of the Lions. >:(
But I hope they go 0-16. :D

I love having Detroit in da Bears division. Two easy wins a year. XD
I hope you go 0-16 as well, for the lols.
*is a big packer fan, looks at Nayrman's post in disgust*
I think the Steelers will definitely be in it for the AFC. For the NFC its Carolina. they are so good right now. they are just loaded on offense. I'm happy that I picked up DeAngelo Williams in fantasy football right when he got hot. He saved my season.
Steelers will win though.

Not my fault you have the worlds most inept defense...

Yes and so are the Dolphins, which is an amazing improvement from last year. :P
It's very probable that the playoff spot for the AFC East will come down to the very last game between the Dolphins and the Jets, so we shall see.

I hope it does because taht would make for some great football the last week (with hopefully with the Dolphins winning). If Miami wins I wonder how much Pennington will rub it in Farve's face...I know I would
Meh... Eagles and Dolphins are pretty mediocre in my eyes.
Highest interception rate WILL be a huge problem when they go up against the more capable defensive teams...
...especially Steelers.

I have to agree with you, but the team is rebuilding and it's incredible how far they've come in just one season.
I still wouldn't count them out for the playoffs just yet.

I'll admit they are prospects, but they won't win the division.
I'm happy for them, they turned from a terrible season to a playoff chance.
Next ear could be a totally different story.
Steelers play Titans in about 3 hours.
And Giants faced Carolina.
I'm willing to bet the winners of those games will be the 2 super bowl teams.
Well, well, well. It turns out that the Jets lost and the Dolphins won.
This will certainly be interesting next week.
