Where on a Wii game case is the number that you have to use for My Nintendo?
There's a paper that comes with only NINTENDO published/developed games that has the code that you're talking about.
Sadly, it isn't on the case.
dang it. I threw away all of those.
I didn't. But I'm a pack-rat, I save pretty much everything.
Yeah...I'd keep those slips. It is kind of dumb though, why not use the serial/bar code?

Nintendo loves driving stakes through our dreams of "free" stuff....among other things
I usually just leave all the papers in there, seeing as I might want to look at em later.

Too easy for people to steal those.
How about in the manual?
I've done this before and some how it worked. I emailed nintendo, with a photo of the game and the UPC code, and they added the game to my list.
