After another disappointment, Mack headed East. No one knows how far East the wanderer did go, but he kept on traveling, traveling east. He made his way through eerie swamps and dense forests, traveled through small villas, and would behold a number of spectacles....but regardless of what he saw, he could not forget that the bad guys always win.
Alas, he found a sign that amazed him. It read:
Welcome to Transylvania.
Wonderful. He continued inward, traversing the terrain with ease - horse and bottle by his side. Upon entry of a small border town, he noticed something was amiss. It was daylight, and no one was out and about. He pondered whether or not it had died off, when he witnessed curtains snap shut. Someone was alive.
Pulling out his latest acquisition, a newfangled revolver, he jumped down off of his horse. Suddenly, doors flew open, and he found himself pinned to the ground, by women and children, no less.
Looking up into their eyes, he noticed they were largely yellow, and the skin pale.
"You.." a woman rasped "are not from around here. You will help. A deadly plague has been contracted in our humble abode, and we are left here to die. Feasting upon us are Transylvanias most well known residents, vampires. At the rate we are going, we'll be subject to death in no time. You must help us - kill the vampires so we have time to be healed. Protect our doctor, whom is our only link to the outside world."
With that, they released him, only to have him blink and stare at them. Knowing he was immune to all disease, and the possibility of becoming a vampire or werewolf thanks to his bloodline, he stood tall and spoke.
"I'll help you. You do as I say, and you live. If you don't, I turn my back and let you die."
Silently, they all nodded, and went back into their abodes.
This game is different from the others we have played here, a plague is sweeping the town, and so on and so forth. While this was inspired by the variation I found on wikipedia, it plays out in my own sick way. Let's make it clear that two of you die in a day, three of you are vampires, and so on and so forth.
Another difference in this title, Peril, is that you will not have a thread to discuss your death in. At all. Too many morons revealed things. So, a point. If any of you dips***s reveal anything after you death, in private or not, you can be banned from the forum for 2 weeks. How do I get away with saying this? Well, this generates a good amount of activity, largely more than most threads, so jeopardizing that puts the forums well being at risk. Case in point, don't be b****es.
As soon as the final role is cast, we play. I'll post saying Game Begin. When you get a pm, shut up about it until then.
Oh, I'm playing in this game ^_^

K.
This sounds like a cool spin on things.
Or a way to make it go by faster. >:(
I'm ready, I haven't played since I was the first one killed in the second game here.
Oh yeah, phases end by 11 EST. Maybe midnights. We'll see. Let's go with 11.
I haven't played a werewolf game in over 6 months XD.
So, do we discuss here and then each PM you a vote of who we think is a vampire/who the vampire is going to bite? Or just post in this thread?
Ah, good luck to all. Interesting first story as well, Mack.
How many phases are there and what happens in each one? Or will this be revealed to us as the phases move forward?

You may freely deliberate via post, pm, or our chat, #werewolf. However, once dead, it is expected you stay that way. All votes get pm'd to me, and stay anonymous.

Phases pend on the length. Game is broken into two phases; day and night. We go through an entire day every 48 hours. We'll likely last ten or so days total (our time). Day phases are deliberation and pming me your lynch vote (of who you think needs to die), while Night Phases are when the baddies lurk. Some abilities are limited in what they can do, based on phase.

by "no revealing roles", you mean that we can't tell ANYONE who we are, right? no hints whatsoever, even if both parties are convinced of who said person is? (say there was a seer and he checked someone out, could he talk to him)
that makes it more interesting. :D

You can, but you probably shouldn't in that regard. Showing any pm I send you to another user is a problem. Just because you say you are a doctor is one thing, but it does not prove a thing. I'm fine with that. Revealing the exact pm I sent, though, does pose a problem (as others were).
However, upon death, roles will not be revealed this time.
Also, a completely brand new role is in this one, if not more.

alright, cool.
then again, showing exact PMs doesn't really prove anything. at this point, anyone who has played in all three games could imitate how you send PMs.
Plus people don't want to be accidently sharing with their enemies. Otherwise they could get bit/voted for death.

Heat was essentially foreign here. Breath. Breath. Breath. All in front of him, whisping around him like smoke, dancing to the wind. This was all he would see, and this is all he would know. Breath.
However, Mack was in good fortune. He had rum. And as he sipped from his flask, the swirling clouds became something more. They whirled and whirled, forming images. What were these, though? Blinking hard, he gasped at what he saw. His memories, his blood filled memories, were playing out in front of him. Werewolves tearing a man to shreds, a guard running to his side, vampires screeching in the night, and him failing twice.
Blink. Breath. Blink. Breath.
It was time to view the votes. They came in all through the day, or less gloomy night, and then he counted. HTA had a narrow majority.
Without though, he pulled out his gun, walked over to HTA, and shot him through the head. Blink. Breathe.
HTA has died a cruel fate, by the vote of the people. Night descends now. 11 EST deadline for your roles.

this one feels a bit biased toward the vampires. we never know if we've killed one, yet they know they're always on the right track...

I must say, this is going to be a tough Werewolf.
...I think the innocents made a mistake. Wasn't HTA a baddie last time?
Aren't the innocents pathetic enough? Why did you make it harder for us?
This is gonna suck.
I think the innocents just wanted vengeance from the last Werewolf. XD

Even the more reason to get rid of him. What makes you think he won't be a baddie a third time in a row? Odds are in favor that he wouldn't be, but it could happen. Either way having HTA killed was mistake we all made, though I am almost certain the votes was close between me and him, so I am glad to still be around seeing my ability is useful like the last werewolf.

Harder for the innocents or vampires? :O
Although the innocents don't know WHO or WHAT they killed, there is motivation for it, I assure you. For instance, the vamps don't have a clue as to what they've taken out, and what may come as a result of it. Besides, some things could activate after death. I guess we'll just have to see.

yeah, i was thinking that mack. It goes both ways, but we'll never know how many of them there are left D:
I didn't vote for either you OR HTA, FYI. -_-
you don't even know that anyone voted for you, or did Mack tell you in chat yesterday?
Ugh, HTA wasn't a Vamp/Wolf in Mack's first Werewolf. It was me, Red, Ridley, and MYL. So it'd only be twice. But....
Does it really make any difference what he has been in previous games? I don't think so.

It does if it is a matter of odds of being a baddie again. I just hope he really was a baddie or it would have been a waste of a day phase.
I still think the innocents made a mistake. But whatever, hope he wasn't innocent.
Whatever though, I WAS getting tired of him bragging abut how he was head Werewolf, when it doesn't make a difference.

Note how you said "random", this is why I say odds. You're not given a specific role for a specific reason, you're randomly chosen for it. So the odds of you being innocent are more likely then being a baddie, and 2x more likely to be innocent next game then baddie again.

So, i guess you don't know what I meant.
There were 5 evil roles last time.
Let's assume there are 5 evil roles this time as well, making 5 evil and 11 innocent/ambiguous (as you would have won if you and your lover had survived).
Let's say you flip a coin. You have a 1 in 2 chance of getting heads.
You flip another coin. You have a 1 in 2 chance of getting heads.
However, the chance of you getting two heads in a row prior to flipping any coins is 1 in 4.

I'm just wondering what you're trying to say. When you flip a coin, you will only ever have the 1 in 2 chance of getting heads or tails. In this game, you have the 5 in 16, or 6 in 16 chance of being a werewolf, and that never changes. the overall chance of getting a werewolf position every time does. You learn this in grade 12 math.

You both lose. :)
So who got their blood sucked?
Night came, and the vampires descended on a small home on the outskirts of town. Creeping in, the vampires transformed into their human form, letting their shadow hover over their victim. One leaned in to the throat, licking their lips in the process.
*pwang*
A shot was fired. Frantically they started flying about.
*pwing*
Another one fired off. And another. And another. Four rounds drained in mere moments. The Tracker walked over to his friend, the Hunter and tapped him on the soldier. Nodding in agreement, the two grabbed their guns and traps, and sealed their small abode down. No blood for the vampires, except their own.
Shining brightly was the sun, and what a sight to behold it was. Passed out, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Sputtering, Gonzalez ran up to him. With a scared look in his eyes, he puked blood where Mack lie, collapsing in it.
The town gathered around, mystified by the act. That was the only death.....everyone else was around. What did this mean?
Both the Hunter and Tracker Roles have been revealed. They used their one freebie to defend each other. Their roles in this game have been altered a tad.
Gonzales died courtesy of the virus going around. Later.
Day 2 is a go. 11 EST tomorrow.
Ugh, my stomach hurts.
More votes guys.
Thank god I am still alive, and thank god for the tracker/hunter abilities. Though this virus thing is quite a interesting twist.
Sucks for Gonzo.
I wonder how the virus works...
Well, if it wasn't for the Hunter/Tracker's abilities, we would've lost two innocents. Instead, we lost one. -_-;
What's the virus? D=

I made a critical slip at the end of the last game. If we hadn't already won, I think I would probably have died the next round.
not that it would have saved the innocents, as they only had 3 days to live and 4 wolves to kill.

What tag-team? Only one where we were a tag-team was the the one where you were the night guard, and the wolfs got lucky and killed us both with one stone.
thats the one i was talking about lol

Not smart on your part.
Know what else isn't smart? Posting in my thread after you're out. It's like standing on the Weakest Link after that ninny tells you to pack up, and you keep answering questions. You know what she would do? She'd intercourse ing rape you on stage, gouge out your eyes, rape you again (with them watching it happen), put them back in your head, and proceed to tell you her life story from the perspective of her menopause. Then you'd die. Do you really want that?

If someone says something to me in a derogatory, expect me to comment back, no matter what the rules say. One post merely saying good bye, another post commenting back on JNFS crude post towards me. No big deal, it isn't like I did what Light did and posted three peoples roles when I died, like he did two games ago.
Bye Matt. Sorry if my post helped kill you off but everything in it was true.
Why do people keep killing Matt? He's almost never evil, at this point in the game there's no way to make educated decisions, even for the vamps, so why not kill a lurker instead? They have a greater chance of being a vampire :|

Can't really say I care, though <3So what is this, day phase or night? I haven't been paying attention >_>

Well that was quite funny.
It's always fun when Matt gets killed. Quite a show!
Well the innocents may have saved the vamps a step.

A delay in decision (not my fault) has slowed this down. Should be updated mid day. You can blame someone for this, but not me.
I'm using that coupon for the free blame now.
Any bloodloss tonight?
Update?
sorry sorry sorry
I suck at pm tag. It turns out the pm I got meant I needed to send another one off.
Alright, once again, no story....because of how late it is. :(
Vampires killed Phaze.
The Knight mysteriously used up a life.
DOODLEboy99 died from the Plague.

until this eve or next?
I would love to know who tried to kill me last night. Now I'm going to have to use my killing ability. I was hoping to save that for later. Also yes the knight is able to kill.
I'm so glad I'm not playing this time around, I have no idea what's going on...
Finally! I'M FREE FROM SILENCE. I thought I'd never die. :)
This is a lot more confusing than the other Werewolves. It would be helpful to know what roles we've been killing off...well, what roles you guys have been killing off. ;)
DOODLEboy99 is the Mystic, Speaker of the Beyond. By dying, he is now the one constant vote you all have.
This game feels like dodgeball. The people who take the most risk normally get out/killed first. However the people who don't take chances normally lose/die last. Then they realize that they did absolutely nothing.

I'm the guy in gym class who was always the last one standing because I was a pro dodger.
I would then throw balls and take out all but one person, only to have them catch the last ball D:
We need to use #werewolf more. >:(
MYL Died by lynching. Night phase, go.
Vamps Killed Jono. :(
I died by the Plague. D:

Editing the same post is also a good loophole.
My money is on the fact that these Werewolf games keep getting stranger. Maybe it's best to stick to the basics?
So, Mack can't talk now? D:
Um I haven't been voting. Not good.
Light has died. The plague killed no one.
My special ability is upon death, I cure the plague.
Sweet, no more plague.
But Light? =[
So... now the vampires can't kill anyone? So, they lose? And sweet, nice ability XD.

I'm pretty sure the vampires can still kill.
Just one less person dies during the night phase due to the cure of the plague.
I still don't like being left in the dark over everything.
This game is getting old.
Mack's First Werewolf-Extremely Close.
Second-Not even close, but meh.
This one-WTF!?
I found the second one to be quite fun. :P
Because it was a blowout?
I would have thought it was fun, too, if I was evil. :P
I'm here, just lurking.

uhh, mack says I'm back or something, so here I am again on my own

maybe he can only use it every once in a while
my previous role could only go every few day phases... never got to use it
Also, one of the downfalls of the innocents last time was due to the misuse of the bread (IMO). never really hit a key role.
bread might not have the same function as last time though. it could be being used as a buff this time
Bread is back!!!! =DDDDDD

Don't forget that the bread only affected the Werewolfs when there was only ONE of them left.
Putting the Head Werewolf to sleep did not mean anything, as either of the other werewolfs were allowed to kill.
Can anyone make an updated list of who's still playing? I need to know who to vote for =/
Game Over.
Riddler Rob, the last baddie, was killed off.
He is joined by LS and Matt.
Wow, who wanted me out?
Honestly, I am surprised that Riddler and Light lasted as long as they did, seeing normally those who more experience in the game are taken out first, seeing they're possible threats. I was killed for the wrong reasons of being hated among most, but at least this time it was a correct vote. I congratulate the innocents for lucking out and winning this game. Vampires had the upper-hand at the start, but after I died, odds became in favor of the innocents.

I voted for LS until he died, with no evidence, same with you Riddler.
well, there was evidence, i suppose, that nobody had contacted me when I sent out a plea for help, yet Riddler was quite active in the thread.
if it wasn't already screamingly obvious, I revived as the baker, was originally the judge, but never managed to vote anyone off until now :\
Doctor was killed first round. :(
I knew Riddler was a baddie, HTA was the Doctor, and MYL was the Horticulturalist.
Oh well, at least we finally won.

He was able to save people from the plague, I think. I found out the name, but not to sure on the ability. Oh well, all is well that ends well.
I had the ability to protect one person per night from the plague, and revive one person who died from the plague.
Doesn't matter now. We somehow managed to win a blindfolded game.

Hi thurr. :3
I was the Persephone. Someone who could sacrifice itself to resurrect another.
Ha, I was the tracker (each night phase got to look up on info on any member). I used my skills to assume LS was one of the baddies (kept tabs on him for a while, and his info checked out as a baddie). And `Matt`, I voted you out because you seemed to be acting too much like one of us. You were trying too hard to blend in, so I decided you had to be hiding something. Therefore I assumed you were a werewolf.
Ha, cool, I assumed two of them correctly, the others I was still fishing around for. But we won so know need to look now XD. Plus the answers were posted...
I was the Grave Digger. Each night phase I was able to ask one dead person a question each night.
Once Mack died, I was able to ask him who all the Vampires were. But at this point, only Riddler was left.

Hardly. I gave away so many hints that I was a Vampire in the thread and chat, plus I don't need to blend in, I am threat as innocent or baddie. I'll willingly have a person on my side killed off if it beneficial in the long run.

What didn't? Never said anything did. I died out of a lucky choice by the innocents. Maybe if you were better head vampire we would have won. ::)
the reason the vamps lost so quickly this time is because there was very little communication, combined with the fact that all of the vamps were either intellectuals/high ranks from the previous games. innocents voted on instinct.
