Title: Wii Instrument Compatibility between GH:WT and RB2
Post by: Java on January 25, 2009, 08:27:27 PM
As I mentioned in the topic title, I have a Wii.
I also own the full band kit for Guitar Hero: World Tour.

I have a few questions regarding the instrument compatibility between the two games:
Can I play Rock Band 2 with all my instruments from GH:WT
I also own a GHIII guitar, will that work with RB2, as well?
If the drums work, how do you play the drums on RB2?

In order:

Yes.
Yes.
The order of the colors on the drums is the same, just with orange added between blue and green on the WT drums, so there isn't as much difference as people think. You can use the orange to play blue notes as well as the blue drum itself. Everything else is the same.

Ah. Thank you so much Gonzo!
It seems like I made the right choice in purchasing GH:WT. I'll probably get RB2 sometime later then.

The drums still sound kinda odd though...

I meant that the way you play the notes on the GH drums seemed kinda odd, however I watched a few videos and it didn't look that bad.

Oh, yeah. I've only played drums a couple times, but it didn't feel much different.
