Title: THQ Hit
Post by: Macawmoses on February 04, 2009, 08:01:27 PM
We know I'm a huge fan of stories of gaming companies being hit hard by these times. THQ is no exception, which is kind of a shame.

The company has brought innovative titles to the table, and seeing a company as such flounder sucks.

With this, they have had issues in many markets. Fortunately, Wii and DS is keeping the company afloat. Wonder why? Not like titles such as Drawn to Life or de Blob have their own niche of fanboys, dedicated to playing both games.

So, they confirmed that de Blob, Drawn to Life, Saints Row, and Smackdown vs. Raw will feature new installments (and we can assume all four will appear on a Nintendo console). THQ sure hit it big with new IP's. I hope other companies take note and actually take some chances themselves.

Discuss all things THQ.

Like Saints Row is ever going to be on Nintendo. Even if it is it won't be good.
Hell, look at teh GTA for the DS...I don't care what IGN says it looks horrible.

Glad to see THQ isn't making crappy games anymore.
They used to be stuck making awful Nickelodeon games, and I never touched a THQ game.

THQ always made bad games up until a few years ago. Now that they are almost going bankrupt, they are finally making good ones.

Shame.

Nowadays, they only make good games when they are doing bad.

Nowadays, there are lots of whiners around here. >:(

But THQ is probably the most horrible license for a game.

They were so bad for so long because they didn't make anything but games made for existing IPs.

Hey, Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was an AMAZING game.  You can't deny that.  THQ did some things right while they were "stuck" with Nickelodeon.

That's why I regret getting Rocket Power: Beach Bandits. >_<
