Title: Crayon Physics
Post by: bluaki on February 06, 2009, 12:57:54 AM
It's probably an obscure game that I randomly found, but it's available for PC and only costs $20 $0 for pirates :x
It's pretty much a physics game, in which you have to draw crayon-styled stuff that pushes a little ball towards a star in various stages.
Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crayon_Physics_Deluxe) and official site (http://www.crayonphysics.com/)
I don't think I should give a download link in this thread but I will through PMs. It's a very tiny game in terms of filesize, with an installer of 28.1MB and a post-installation directory size of 47.6MB. (Windows only, though I wouldn't doubt it runs smoothly in Wine)

And on that note, let's discuss various physics games. Or something like that.

The original of this game (the one that didn't let you draw anything, just basic shapes) was in the Common (shared) drive at my school throughout last year.  We had much fun with that game.

I should really play the full, latest one sometime...

I played the original, and I saw a link on the web site to 'email me when Crayon Physics Deluxe is complete'.
The original and Deluxe are extremely different. There are tons of stages on Deluxe with a world map and stuff while original has like 6 stages (8 islands, ~10 stages/island, makes for about 80 stages in Deluxe), Deluxe lets you make and use fastening points for things to rotate on, you can make objects of any shape in Deluxe, and the general strategies used in Deluxe to reach the goal are much different and complicated.
