As most of us know, Nintendo is rereleasing some Gamecube games with Wii controls. I was wondering... if they did this with Melee, would anyone here buy it?
If it had online, absolutely.
Oh yeah. But it has to be the same. Wavedashing and everything.

you know it wont...
If Nintendo wouldn't give a new game online, why would they give an old game one?
No online or any other added features. I mean if it was just Melee with Wiimote+nunchuk controls, would you buy it?
Like HTA said, if it had online.
But new play control, that would just be using the Wii remote with or without the nunchuk. Same as Brawl.
So without online, probably not.
Well, I can play decently with the Wiimote + Nunchuck.
And as I said before, it has to have wavedashing and other such Melee exclusives.
I would probably just buy it because it's a Smash. I'm a sucker. But if it were just Wii controls, I would be frustrated. I rarely use the Wii remote for Brawl as it is.
That would be kinda pointless
I have a perfectly fine Melee disk and I use the GCN controller for Smash. Also this is Nintendo we're talking about. Why would I buy it?

Yeah because they'd totally leave flaws in the game mechanics. That makes complete sense.
Even with Brawl, I never put down the Wavebird...
Saying that, there is really no point to New Play Control Melee, unless they did more to it than hinted to with its title.
Uh, no. Melee was good as it is.
I actually see it coming down the road. For now, too close to Brawl's release.
I imagine online and wii controls (with gc options), as well as updated graphics, and a few more easter eggs.
Basically, Nintendo's original plan for Smash Bros Wii.
Playing melee with motion controls, that would get so tiresome and very annoying. Taking the speed and agility of pressing buttons and replacing it with motion controls, please no. But with gc controller options and online, yes please.

lol, you would expect this from NINTENDO?
they wouldn't even leave scan-dashing in Metroid Prime, a single-player game. Why would they ever release a multiplayer game that has known issues, without pillowing and "fixing" every last bit of it?

They knew about wave dashing and other 'known issues' you speak of during the production stage of making melee and didn't take it out, it would just be a simple port with motion controls probably.
