So, what are your thoughts?

To me, it seems they really limited themselves to a max of three, or so. For instance, I don't agree with AC/DC selections only containing Dirty Deeds and Back In Black. Or the selections from Led Zeppelin.

Overall, the list does contain some great songs....but how did Winters get on the list?!

So, thoughts on the best hard rock songs?

Please note that the majority of the songs on that list are in GH/RB.
Also, My Generation should be closer to #1 on the list.

I believe their validation for it was that it was a gateway for new metal fans.

It's on VH1 or some nonsense. I watched the 5 shows, then found the list off of Google.

The top half (50-100) are. Below that it gets good.

Doesn't belong on a "best hard rock songs" list anyway. Nothing by GNR does.

Seriously. But VH1 apparently has their heads too far up their asses to appreciate quality blues rock like Derek and the Dominos. Hell, the only blues rock band they seem to love is Led Zepp, and even then, they pick "Kashmir" of all intercourse ing things. Give me a break.

I'm a Motorhead fan, but they've become less and less good over the years.

Personally, I don't really care about the lists.
I just find the shows to be entertaining if I have nothing else to watch.

Worst intercourse ing list ever. Not a single prog song in the top 50 except Tom Sawyer. Creed is on the list. Kid Rock is on the list. Korn is on the list. Paranoid is immensely overrated. But everyone knows that you can't trust anything you see in the media, I hope.

It's because the majority of american's are idiots and they listen to really dumb mainstream crap.
That's why people with real personalities disagree.

They just sound like complete crap to me. The singer sounds like he has constipation when he "sings". Their whole sound is guitar and drums. I don't like bands like that.

I can't honestly think of all that many hard prog rock songs that are fitting in a "best of hard rock" list. Maybe "Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath."
