Title: DST
Post by: Macawmoses on March 08, 2009, 02:32:42 PM
Just making sure you all threw your clocks forward an hour - except you rascally Arizonans.

I forgot to at my house, as did everyone else. So, we were up a wee bit late today and nearly missed our company's arrival. Oops.

Also, car accidents go up something like 25% for the week after DST kicks in, so you kids better drive safe <3

Anywho, discuss DST and why being sleep deprived sucks....especially when you just came from a forum sleepover .-.

I remembered. I always do well in DST for some odd reasons.

And it's Arizona and Indiana (for some odd reason, when my mom moved out from college and Indiana, she never knew what DST was)

well, it was an idea by Ben Franklin to give farmers more daylight hours so they could potentially produce more, but nowadays it's kind of pointless...

I'm fine with it.
I just wish I had an extra hour to do this reading. D:

Phasing out DST would be like trying to phase out SDTV. It wouldn't work, simply because a lot of people don't want to change because they are used to it.

I think if Ben Franklin were to be alive in this day and age and see how industrialized the world has become, he'd ask why we were still using it.

That said, I don't mind it.

Indiana started doing DST last year I think.  Me?  I don't mind it, disadvantages and advantages both ways.

My clock in my room is never wrong, because it syncs with the atomic clocks every morning.

Not to mention my phone alarm helps me get up because the phone I have is always in sync with the atomic clocks as well.

I like the extra hour of sleep I get when we come out of DST.

Other wise I could care less. You people are makeing a big deal out of nothing.

Heh, my watch does that ^_^
My watch attempts to sync like 6 times a day.
