Sorry, no news about. :(
But I've been wanting a Star Fox Wii for a while. But I never really thought about what the controls would be like.
Though an option for using the Classic Controller or the Gamecube Controller would be nice, I'm sure it would have motion controls. So, what do you think they should be like?
I think the controls should be something like this:
Hold the Wii Remote sideways.
Steer Left or Right: Tilt the Wii Remote to the left or to the right.
Steer Up or Down: Tilt the Wii Remote forward or backwards.
2: Shoot
1: Bomb
B: Barrel Roll
A: Get out of/in vehicle(if you have the option, like in Assault).
Up: U-Turn
Left/Right: Flip thing.
Down: Brakes
(+) or (-): Pause?
I agree on both fronts - use the GCN controller, or use the wiimote sideways. I think using the Wii Remote would make Star Fox more intuitive, something the series could really make use of.
I kind of hoped that a StarFox game would have a sideways wiimote style control.
anyway...
Wiimote (sideways):
A - shoot
B - Bomb
Tilting motion - left, right, up, or down
shaking motion - barrel roll
It based off of the Warioware Smooth Moves microgame which was based off of StarFox.
Shaking for a barrel roll may not work effectively, in my thinking. D:
It's either that or tilting the Wiimote faster. D:
Why not left and right (up and down) on the control pad quickly?
or that could work...
One problem we could have with the sideways remote thing is when if you can walk or drive the Landmaster freely like in Assault... those would be some pretty awkward controls, and aiming would be hard.

Let's just say that it's Arwing only.
Forgot about that. D:
With the nunchuk:
Steer: Control stick.
B: Shoot
A: Bomb
Shake Nunchuk: Left barrel roll
Shake Wii Remote: Right barrel roll
C: Get out of/in vehicle(if you have the option, like in Assault).
Up/Left: U-Turn
Down/Right: Flip thing.
Z: Brakes
(+) or (-): Pause
