Title: School Social Status
Post by: Doodle on March 13, 2009, 05:26:22 PM
What are you like at school? Popular, in the middle, not well known? What kind of "group" would others classify you as?
I'm kind of in the middle, maybe above average. Lots of people know me. I'm not really hated. I'm not really sure what "group" I'd go in.

I'm in the middle group. I'm well known as an academic, but I'm not insanely popular, nor am I an outcast. I have friends that are far more athletic than I, and I have friends that are like, 400 pounds.

Plus, I have the Lunch Club, our wonderful little group of friends that gets together each day. Love it.

there aren't even groups at my school.
everyone just talks.
and if you don't talk to everyone then you're a loser.
everyone knows who i am, i talk to everyone, everyone talks to me.
i'm all good.

there really isn't any social status in college, but in high school I was one of those people who just did there own thing, neither bothered anyone or was bothered by anyone

Loser. Sits alone or with the lunch lady in the a coldest corner of the cafeteria.  Zero friends.  Everyone thinks I'm a weirdo.  I'm the kid that the teacher praises for coming up with a peculiar solution that she has never seen before to a problem.  I'm poor.  Everyone calls me faggot on the the hallways and in classes.   I'm the joke of the school--really: there's a ton of jokes in the school that revolve around me, and people have the faintest decency to say them in front of me.

I'm very athletic, smart, and sarcastic. So at school I'm very well know, popular, and in the top class (also Vice Pres. of the Beta Club at our school)... So thing are good I hang out with mostly the smarter kids, which is who I grew up with... and I have to sit at a lunch table with M64, this anti-social dude man Clay, a dumb blond whore named Jessi, and this semi-athletic tall country kid named Logan... oh and a mixed kid named TJ (right now he'sin jail)... so that about it

I'm known as that crazy guy who likes math and is good academically, dislikes sports, and loves electronic music.  I suppose I am a joke for some of the school...mainly people who are more acquaintances than real friends...but for the most part I'm liked among the general crowd of where I hang out in my free periods, which is the "Student Lounge" (it's a carpeted hallway with a bench where it seems no school rules apply...or at least followed).  And those who know me as a fellow otaku say hi and stuff.

So...

I'm known, albeit not always in a good way.  If anything, a few people know me for the fact I always wear a bright orange shirt on Thursdays for no reason.

Ok, Steven Glansberg.

Anyway, I'm captain of the swim team, and I have enough friends to be happy. In middle school, there were cool kids. In high school, those kids are now the kids who smoke weed and party all the time. I don't want to be like them anymore. I'm quite fine being myself - I'm fairly certain by now, senior year and everything, everyone in my grade is happy being who they are. I talk to whoever I want to talk to.

Somewhat infamous as being one of the few heathens who espouse any sentiments against Obama on campus. Somewhat appreciated for my delicious stir-fry in the caf.

Well-known inside the gaming club as one of the few officers that does their job and one of the top 5 GH/RB players at Knox. Though I'm graduating early, I will probably be VP of the club next year.

I'm not really in a group. I get along with virtually everyone. I get along with the "popular" people, as well as the "geeky" people, and everyone else in-between. :U I'm pretty much just there, ready to talk with anyone. :D

EDIT
Oh, everyone knows me as a huge computer nerd, I guess. :U I get people asking for assistance on a nearly-daily basis, and I was actually recommended to work on my school's tech support team. The head of the tech services department supports me helping out and all that, and it's actually going to be talked about with the principal or whatever, so yeah. I'm kinda like some nerd that isn't an outcast, I guess. Then again, I don't look anything like a nerd, so whatever. ;u

I played basketball and spoke in front of the entire school at a Pep rally, so people atleast know I exist.  People welcome me, but they don't go out of their way to invite me.

Bascially they don't care.

I'm not really popular.
I hang out with about 4 people. It may not be a lot, but you know what, I like our friendship.
Everyone else, I'm just acquainted with, they know me as "that one cool guy". So they don't really mind me being around.
Sure I don't hang out with a lot of people, but hey, I at least have some friends.

I know people here and there; but I don't go out my way to say Hi; I dont go out my way for anything really.

I'm know as "Vice President" to some of the weirdos in anime club (i'm more well known than the president, which is odd) and "StepMania Person" in robotics because last year, i always played it when I wasn't doing something important.

I really don't have "friends", just people I know. I know more females than males though.. and I get along with them better, too.

I had a completely un-earned reputation as a bad-ass at my high school. I was all metal and poop (long hair, clunky boots, military clothes, frowning all the time) so a lot of people thought I was some kind of hard-core son of a ninny. A few times my friends were telling people that I was a really funny guy, and they didn't believe them. They insisted that they were talking about a different Peter, because they couldn't imagine me being anything other than the ultra-serious stoic that they incorrectly percieved me as.

I didn't have a lot of friends, but for some reason everybody knew who I was. People who I had never met would come up to me and start talking to me like we were friends, and some people I'd never heard of added me on facebook.
