Title: Warning regarding hackers in MKW
Post by: DededeCloneChris on March 19, 2009, 03:07:44 PM
The increasing amount of ‘hackers’ using altered game code has come to our attention, and as you may realise, if you have used hacks on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in a way that has altered the gaming experience for other racers since December 1st 2008, an error has been put in place to stop this activity from continuing. This block will affect all ‘hackers’ who have actively altered gameplay since December 1st 2008, in a way that has changed the racing experience for other players. This does not apply for racers who have only used alterations in private (friend only) rooms, or for Time Trials. On April 6th, all ‘blocked’ IP Addresses will be unblocked, and if they continue to alter the gaming experience from that date, will be unable to use Wi-Fi Connection for a further 3 months. After that time, the same process will be repeated again.

I will not post anymore on this thread, so please do not ask for help in any way. A way to contact the Mario Kart Wii Wi-Fi team will be released on all regions’ Official Nintendo websites, and if you have any problems, you should contact us by the advised method.

Thank you

I got this from the official site for MKW.

So, who's going to get blocked from Wi-Fi here? It appears this is also an official announcement as well.

Heh, I sure won't be blocked.

I'm kind of glad they are doing this.....it just makes the game fair, and they aren't infringing on FC matches, so it's cool.
