Title: Remakes
Post by: Macawmoses on March 24, 2009, 05:01:55 PM
I've been obsessively playing my free copies of our first two NPC! titles - and I must say, overall, I'm pleased. Okay, the obsessive should be a good indicator of that.

Both Pikmin and Tennis are better iterations because of Wii. And of course, RE4 WiiMake, Chrono Trigger DS, and numerous other remakes (even our new FE) exist. I want to know - which games must you see a remake for (on any system)? What additions would you make?

My big one right now is Melee - add in online, a few characters, Wii optional controls, 16:9, and I'm good. Yeah. I'd also like to see a Goldeneye Redux for the 360....added content and modernized flair, and we're good to go.

You?

I highly doubt they're going to remake melee, so yeah.

I'd really like to see SA2:B remade, or at least SA3 D:

Melee with GOOD online and it will become infinitely better than Brawl.

I know this sounds like blasphemy, but I want to see OoT remade with up to date visuals, voice acting for the NPC's, and FULL ORCHESTRA for the music. It'd be gaming bliss (I can only imagine out atmospheric the Water and Forest temples would be...just the thought gives me a fan-gasm)

And Wii. :(
Melee would be cool as a remake. I'd love for a Pokemon G/S/C remake, too. If Nintendo will remake the 1st generation, they should remake the 2nd generation.
G/S/C > R/B/Y

Uh, I don't know. Zelda characters talking? That would just be weird to me. It wouldn't seem right.

Well, it was the best selling GCN title. I imagine if NPC! takes off as viable that it will in fact be re-released.

Not link, but the NPC's. Do you have any idea how big a buzzkill all that text was in TP? I mean really, some simple VA's for the NPC characters isn't too much to ask for in this day and age. Hell, Retro already did it with Metroid and the world didn't fall apart. Sure it wasn't the best but it was better than a wall of text killing the mood. I don't mind it in OoT as much (cuz it was released in 1998 and having OoT took up ALL of the freaking cartridge. Good luck getting voice in there).

G/S/C > R/B/Y
1. RBY were more important and much more recognized. GSC is not.
2. I thought people wanted new stuff in Pokemon? Remakes are not new.

Remake Super Mario Bros in 3D.

Pokemon G/S/C remakes. Seriously. Now. Right now.

I don't care if they make another Pokemon game again, I WANT G/S/C REMAKES NAO! I don't even like R/B/Y, why did they remake them? G/S/C was more fun D:  I don't want every friggin region like people keep saying they want in a remake, I just want the same old G/S/C with improved graphics and what-not.

It's been rereleased enough already. No.

Not possible. Nintendo owns Donkey Kong, not Rare. DK64 can ONLY be on Nintendo, and Nintendo owns the rights to the game, so there really isn't anything Rare can do or say to put it on XBLA

Pokemon GSC. It included Kanto in the game - why would they re-release the Kanto story if you can just go to Kanto and Johto in one game? It's ridiculous.

...why? That game is good enough as is. I'd rather have a third one to make it a trilogy.

Also, amazed no one has brought this one up, Metroid 2: Return of Samus on the Wii. Sidescroller.
