Title: Amazon
Post by: Macawmoses on April 08, 2009, 03:30:30 PM
One of my friends was telling me that you can go on to Amazon and buy XBLA games. What they do is give you an email code - which you in turn enter, and the game is downloaded to your 360.

That sounds pretty cool with me. Any of you able to confirm this? Thoughts?

Never seen it.
But really, that sounds like more of a hassle than simply buying the points from a store or online.

The premise allows for easier gift giving/contest prizes though...which is nice.

Yes, I used it to buy "The Maw" and they sent me the code INSTANTLY via email and then I just went to marketplace.xbox.com,copy and pasted the code into the box and entered it and it automatically started downloading on my xbox in the other room.

It was literally "click purchase" "check email, enter code on xbox website"...I like how when you download something on the website it will instantly be sent to your xbox without doing anything.

Glad to have confirmation. This really will make it easier to give it to users as prizes around here.
