Title: Do I need to post more?
Post by: Psycho_Ivan on October 06, 2007, 05:19:30 PM
Simple question. I have been hanging out here for the past 4 hours, and posted about 8 times. :O Is that a bad thing?

People have different posting interests and posting speeds. Don't feel pressured by other people and their postings.

Depends. If they were well thought out posts to complicated/long posts, then not really, but that is somewhat slow.

If those were one or two sentence posts, then I'd say that you are being a bit slow.

Either way, don't spam, I'm busy enough already D:

With the quality of some of your posts, I'd say it's a darn good thing.  ;)

Especially if they are thread like these.

Short and concise. I don't often explain in an unnecessary amount. I think others should figure out the deeper answers, and it isn't my responsibility to explain so in length.

Well, true. Also, if the post takes an extensive amount of thought, it is still understood. :P

You didn't set a record.

I never even reached Koopa after joining in January of '06.
(Hey, that's when Riosan signed up.)

No, but a copy of Hooked on Phonics would be nice.

Depends on how you feel.

People say I should post less, simply because I post too fast.

Old Power On was too fast, much too fast for me to transition...

Yes, the internet is an excuse, nay, an obligation to type improperly. :|

I don't have a dictionary with me when I go on forums. I just have a good enough grasp of the English language to not come across as an idiot. Enough to know that "athlist" isn't the appropriate spelling of "at least". Typos are acceptable, but when it looks like you've just mashed the keyboard while attempting to post you're taking it a bit to far.

Well this is the internet...
Exactly. This is an internet forum. There are basically only two things I can judge you on: What you say, and how you say it. An internet forum isn't an excuse to type like a retard. It should be the opposite, because unless you type at least competently, nobody will really take you too seriously.
Typing like an idiot should be reserved for satirical posts and instant messaging. You don't need to save 0.3 seconds typing "u" instead of "you" on an internet forum. You're better off taking a bit of pride in your posts.
If you have something worth saying, it's worth saying well.
