Pun intended I guess.
Anyway look at this

then this

Now, that is a big change.
When I was progressing trough pokémon, I never really noticed the changes made in the Pokémon, but looking back, I can't see how I missed it.

Red/Blue & Green > Yellow > Gold & Silver > Crystal > Ruby/Saphire > Fire Red/Leaf Green > Emerald > Diamond/Pearl (couldn't find Platinum)
Just felt like doing that.
gotta love those crappy GB sprites and the like.
Remember how bad Raichu used to look? XD
I actually find it sad that we've only gotten that far. Give us a real 3D game (version) already!

You mean console version? I'd like that too but if Nintendo hasn't done it yet then they never will...

We mean full fledged versions like the handhelds, not side games that aren't like the handhelds.
It's no big deal, I just want one for fun.
Blastoise always seemed about to explode in Red and Blue. :D
I've thought about the GB games into console versions, though it would be kinda tough, making the tall grass, the surfing things, and a bunch of stuff. Honestly, I think they would ruin the game in a console version now, they'd probably add a bunch of poop that makes the game un-fun.
I never said anything about a console version...
DS=64 graphics=Stadium 1/2=We should already be able to have 3D games on the handhelds, and I really hope they do that next gen.
A 3D full-fledged Pokemon game would be awesome.
The DS could pull it off.

We already got our three versions. Gotta wait til next gen and next handheld. Although that system will definitely pull it off, Nintendo just needs to quit being lazy and actually do it. I mean really, all you have to do is make it PKMN Stadium 1 quality in terms of graphics and we'd be happy X_X;;

Objection time.
The creator of Pokémon said he could have done the game in 3D graphics easily, but he wanted to maintain Pokémon with its original feel so everyone can enjoy it. Also, we have 3D buildings with 2D sprites and I guess it looks very good.
He could make a 3D one this time around.

In places with notably changing elevation or abnormal zoom (like stark mountain's zoom), the 2D sprites look awkward, especially for the player character. Making the character 3D in as much a sense as the buildings and trees wouldn't lessen the feel any and would be an improvement in my opinion.
The real 3D-ish changes come when you approach the GCN games, by having 8-directional movement, non-grid-based areas, rotating camera, etc. Or stadium-ish battles.

The overview is fine as is for the most part, but Stadium like battles in 3D shouldn't be too much to ask for for the next handheld games. Sprites are all well and good, but when the technology is there they just start to become lazy somewhat. X_X;;

Technically, current gen should have been able to do it, but Nintendo doesn't like to keep up with graphics (PSP). Next gen has NO excuse.
waaah waaah waaah. doesnt anyone here have any sense of nostalgia? the sprites give the game its charm that sets it apart! dont change a thing!
Is it me, or do you just like to be contrary?
I think that all the space used for that could be used for a full, interconnected pokemon universe next gen.
yes, i do like to be contrary. maybe im just wierd. but these are my opinions, and i prefer sprites. the 3d should be saved for the major consoles, while the handhelds should stick to the sprites we know and love. its the 3d battles that made battle revolution worth buying. other than that, it has no purpose. why buy these other games for 20 bucks extra while the ds has bigger games with the same graphics?
actually, the ds doesnt have enough graphic capability to generate looks like the 3d in colosseum, ect. it would be somewhat lacking, like dragon quest monsters joker. played it. had no clue what the title was about

This is Nintendo. They have employees with the sole purpose of coming up with excuses.
