Title: PC Upgrades vs. Buying a PS3
Post by: Tsumaru on April 21, 2009, 02:13:04 PM
I need to decide what I want to start saving money for towards the holidays. I'm pretty tight on money, so I have to start saving here and there. I figure if I keep saving at this rate, I'll have $650 by Christmas. I was planning on making computer upgrades, but now I'm thinking of buying a PS3.

Any opinions?

My computer specs right now are as follows:

Core 2 Duo E8300 @ 2.83GHz
RADEON HD3650 256MB
320W Power Supply
320GB Seagate HDD

I personally think you should go for the PC upgrades, and most of the forum will say that.

It really depends on what you want, an Über gaming system that lasts for ~6 years before the next generation comes out, or a machine that does pretty much whatever you want, but you'll have to keep upgrading it to play the newest games.

Isn't that computer good enough for you? The most you'd need is to upgrade the graphics card and that's at most ~$250, and some RAM.

He could use a new PSU....

I would personally go for the PC upgrades, especially if you plan on getting mostly FPS games, they're better on the PC.
