Title: To Talk, Or Not To Talk?
Post by: Doodle on April 21, 2009, 03:12:02 PM
Do you think the main characters in games should talk? Of course, your answer would depend on what kinds of games we're talking about.
If the game is more serious, sure. Why not? As long as they don't overdo it. An exception to this would be Zelda. Link talking would just be awkward. >_>
But if the game isn't as serious, like Mario, then the main character should just stay a silent hero. To me, talking in games like that would just sound gimmicky.

Yes.  Like The Darkness, that's like the best voice acting i've seen in any video game. Any FPS your guy should talk in, except call of duty, because that would be kinda weird for some reason.

It depends on the character and game.
