I realize it's still barely mid-day, but today was just one of those really disappointing days. First, I wanted to get the textbook I needed for my summer class, I drive all the way to the bookstore near my campus, and of course they don't have it, and they don't know when they'll get it. (as usual all school employees are idiots who don't know how to manage anything, as the bookstore is always a mess and it's impossible to find the thing you want).
After that, I decided to check out the new store in the mall that had Japanese import stuff (I know, a mall with Japanese import stuff? I had to check it out), needless to say it was somewhat pathetic. Sure it had Pocky and Ramune, but what import store doesn't? Gaming was non-existant (minus some Sonic and Mario plushies and a couple Zelda posters), and all anime stuff was either: Bleach, Naruto, DeathNote or Dragonball. Also, way too much Sephiroth and Kingdom Hearts. Sadly, probably the most mainstream anime store I have ever seen...disappointing. Oh well, I didn't have high hopes to begin with.
Finally, I went to Best Buy for no other reason than to yutz around for a while. I don't buy music (duh), so I hung around the game area, and as usual for this time a year there was nothing worth noting. The Wii section is an embarrassment as always, and anything I want to play on PS3 I already have. And finally, the anime section (as well as the movie section in general) seems like it was given a chainsaw. Ya see, normally the best buy near me will have at least one diamond in the rough in the anime section (it's where I got my Samurai X and G Gundam DVD's), but now it's just as mainstream as that "import" store I was talking about. All Dragonball, Bleach, Naruto, and other stuff everyone's seen a million times. Probably the most obscure thing I saw there was Cowboy Bebop X_X;;
Yea, pointless ranting I know but whatever. When was the last time everyone was just thoroughly disappointing?
Probably...when I drove an hour to install a screen in someone's laptop, and the darn thing didn't work. >:(

Mines wasn't all bad; my USB drive stopped working (wonder why >.>) but there was nothing important on it; and makes for a reasonable excuse to get a 8GB one :3

Every time I go to a store that sells video games, I go where the Wii is...and when I see the shovelware crap, I cry a little on the inside.
