Title: The Return Of Twink?
Post by: JrDude on May 15, 2009, 08:31:54 PM
I just finished Paper Mario 1 (again) and Twink was pretty tough. It's been a while now, and it seems possible that with all that, and all the time now passed, he should be able to become a Star Spirit. If there's another Paper Mario (RPG PLEASE), he should definitely be in it (not a major major character, but in it).

What do you think about Twink? Do you think he should return? If he were to return, should he still be the little Star Kid? or a Star Spirit of some sort?

I think he should return as a star spirit. I would love the nostalgia involved because paper mario is one of my favorite games of all time. I got it for my Birthday too.

I think he should be grown up but not a Star Spirit.
Then becomes a Star Spirit after the old guy dies during the game.

Grown up star isn't much different than star kid. The difference is that the star kids only look left and right, the older stars only look forward.
And maybe Eld Star won't die, but do something like a Luma (Mario Galaxy) and become something (like something that would make Twink an official Star Spirit, or maybe a planet)

You are getting Too Detailed Jr. Guy. :P

Of course for Mushroom Kingdom, I don't know how they can fit all those adventures in 1 area...honestly.
If I was a Toad, I think I would packed up and moved a long time ago due to all that crazy nonsense Bowser and other enemies would put me through.

But anyway!
Twink should come back as a Adult Star spirit..he could be the 8th one.
I don't know what his special power would be though...

I agree with Ridly whole heartily when he says that Paper Mario 1 is one of his fav games (I can relate is what I mean to say).

The story line, the comedy, the simple but awesome graphics, the Music....

To get lost in such a splendid story line/adventure... as if your heart and soul was into the game itself is what it's All about, and Paper Mario 1 easily captures that.

Me personally, despite my early ranting I wish I could live in the Mushroom Kingdom and go on Adventures like that.

Ahh well.

1. I know... I get very detailed when it comes to my ideas for games... I can't help it =3
2. The Mushroom Kingdom is a very large country, I'd say continent, but then there's not really a country within it, just a bunch of towns.
3. That's how I feel in Paper Mario: TTYD, I feel less like that in Paper Mario 1, but it's still fun.
I AM GONNA PLAY PM2 AGAIN (I seriously have like 8 files on that game... but it's fun every time, I wish I could do it for the first time again.....)

Me, LOL either I'd be some kind of flower in Flower fields or uhm........
hmm, I can't really remember any chapters other then the mountain, ice, forest, island level........ I'm missing 2....Oh yeah the koopa castle and............. I can't remember the last one.

Meh, what ever, I'd actually go by my Nick Screen name here and live in Star Haven!

Twink was so cute and his music matched him perfectly.

Anyway, I think it would only make sense to bring him back as an adult, seeing as it's been so long since the first Paper Mario (which, by the way, is my favorite game of all time).

But he dies all the time... Though usually he has a 1-Up, or a life shroom, or Luigi feeds him a 1-Up shroom, or he gets a game over and starts off back where he hit the block.

Pretty much every single Nintendo character is immortal...

...Except for Link (who probably reincarnates every time in every game) and Fox, including all the characters for both.

Oh, yes, the topic.

I liked Twink very much. He was curious for a Star Kid and well...I don't know if he needs to return. Mario already had an adventure with the Star Spirits. Maybe Twink could make a cameo in some form in another Paper Mario game?

The Star Spirits returned in some Mario Party, I'm surprised Twink wasn't in it at all though. Maybe he could return in some form like that?

You ever play the thousand year door?
Yes, I have... I actually like the thousand year door just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit over the original Paper Mario.

The one thing I loved (really) loved, was the music on shooting star summit from Paper Mario 1. One thing I loved doing was just leaving the game on listening to  That song constantly while doing stuff. I also like the atmosphere... how it's a normal day but as you approach shooting star summit, it gets darker and shooting stars fly down.
^_^ It was awesome.

The reason though... I like TTYD is for a few reasons.
The gameplay a.k.a. the stage affects/audience/random events on STAGE as you fight bosses or regular enemies were ingenious and Funny! I mean, anybody remember the scene when I think his name was "Fracktail" or something went in the audience and ate all the Toads and Koopas just to regain health? And everybody in the Audience ran away out of fear!?! It was so FUNNY!! :D I don't remember laughing so hard/Feeling so sorry for those creatures! My gawed...

And just random affects like a Stage Light falling on the enemies which KO's them is just as hilarious to me.... OR when the background stage falls on everybody! :D
So... many good memories...... everything was ingenious on that affect!

The game itself was vast and Very colorful. I was in Awe when I had to enter the chapter where the big Tree was...but I"m talking about the stage before it... how Beautiful/Eeary that entire area looked.
Like a beautiful nightmare or something. I kind'a think that I'd live in an area like that.
But thats just me.

Easily Paper Mario 1 and TTYD is better then Super Paper Mario in a lot of good ways.

@Star it's HOOK Tail, just so you know.

Anyway, if I were to live in a Paper Mario 1 place, it would be... Koopa village, because though Koopa Troopas are the most boring part of the koopa family, they won't all be Koopas always, right? and if I were to live there, I'd probably be a koopa, so there would be a chance I would turn out to be something else in the end.
