The last three or so weeks I've randomly been seeing flashes of light in my peripheral vision. You know how when lightning strikes somewhere, the entire sky lights up? It kinda feels like that. It's very brief, very random, and although it's not often, it's kind of freaking me out. It doesn't hurt and it's not uncomfortable, but it scares me 'cause I don't know what it is. It's happened about 4 times in the last 3 weeks. It's happened indoors too, so I know it's not actually the weather. It always happens in one quick flash.
Anyone know what this might be?
Could be a eye sensitivity problem or your nervous system playing tricks on you? Not sure. Are you sure its nothing something reflecting? Like I don't know a light ray hitting onto something and reflecting off onto something like metal or a mirror causing the quick flash? :S? Just to be sure. Maybe you should go and have the doctor check your eyes.
The four times it's happened were:
Twice while inside, once while driving, once outside. It's not a reflection or anything, I'm sure. It's just a quick flash in my peripherals.
If you're sure that its your eyes and not something reflecting. Then you should get a doctor check it out before your eyes get worse and you start having migraines. My guess would be something about the nerves that are near your eyes or something screwing up. D; Or your eye sensitivity has gone up and it making you see these flashes.

What if a nerve has moved into a position that it can get pinched.
It can happen. My mom has (or had) a condition that one of her neres in her toe got pinched a lot as she walked, occasionally causing pain...
But, I do agree with you Viveanne. Go see the doctor, or preferrably an eye specialist...
4 times in 3 weeks doesn't seem that often, but if your worried then you should just ask a doctor so they can check it out.
I would go to an eye doctor, just to check it out. It could be from staring at a tv, computer screen, etc. for too long.
Your eyes need rest, staring at the same thing for too long is like holding your arm up in the air without putting it down. If that's the problem, while online or whatever, just look at something far away for a sec just to give your eyes a little break.
If not, then... Don't know what to tell you other than go to the eye doctor before, like Vive said, you start getting migraines.
Someone is flashing lights at you while hidden, just to intercourse with you.
Could be an eye thing but it's potentially a dietary problem too. If your not getting all the nutrients you need your brain and eyes won't function correctly. I remember having a massive blind spot directly in my line of sight it ended up I just needed food and nitrition. I ate some food and it went away within ten minutes.
Well, flashing light can be symptom that shows before you get a migraine.
But you're not getting any headaches.
Hm...
