Title: Demo Play/Tutorial Tool Being Utilized
Post by: Macawmoses on June 06, 2009, 02:34:58 PM
Remember hearing about that Wii feature that would either show you how to beat a part of the game, or take over for you? Well, it is in fact being used, starting this holiday season:

Quote"In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if a player is experiencing an area of difficulty, this will allow them to clear troubled areas and take over when they're ready. And yes, we're looking into this for future games." - Shigeru Miyamoto

That would be nice. But I doubt it.

Why not just use the old method of referring to the Internets or a Guide Book>

Come on, at least penalize the player for using it.

Take away points.
Take away coins.
To be meaner, take away lives.
To be meaner still, send them back a level.

Well, consider it a test run.

Okay Nintendo/Shiggy. If you want this so badly in your games, then make them HARDER.
If this new idea is indeed implemented into NSMBWii, then this has to be one of the most difficult Mario games devised, or else the idea was entirely worthless. Anything less than Mario 3 difficulty will be an insult to gamers everywhere.

And yes, as you can tell I'm vehemently against the implementation of the idea of trying to please both crowds. Even though I find that battle to be entirely pointless because all you do is piss off one side instead of the other.

Well, is the tool going to help you with a video? In a guide? A small hint or something?

From what I can tell, it's going to do it for you.

I hate that. It reminds me of when my cousins ask me to do finish the level for them. >_>

That's stupid. Like MYL said, the game better penalize you for holding your hand.
And the penalization better be harsh, because of how easy the game is.

I can imagine either people won't CARE, Or if the reason Why they are even doing this is to help these "NON Gamers" out.
Cause they can't play hard games like "true/hardcore gamers" can.
