I'm reminded of Banjo-Kazooie.
You want to know why the B-K community has lasted so long?
Stop 'N Swop.
The games themselves were great. The lasting power, however, didn't come from the games themselves.
It came from secrets and lies, of deceit and desire.
It's amazing to see the effect of a few locked doors and unexplained islands in the middle of nowhere.
Patience may be a virtue, but after Rare told us to wait until Banjo-Tooie to find everything out...
We couldn't wait.
So, we set our cheating devices into our N64s and went to work. Soon, a community known as Rare Witch Project formed, made up of game hackers dedicated to figuring out Banjo-Kazooie's last secret.
They found it. The developer's long withheld debug codes to obtain entrance into the sacred places on the cart.
It came at a price.
Rare was understandably mad, and is still so today. They may have had plans to fill us in on their master scheme. They aren't telling us now.
Oh? That's right. We still have no idea what the point of Stop 'N Swop was.
Regardless, after the dissapointing no-show in Banjo-Tooie, the search began anew.
And to this day, it continues. We're pretty close to cracking it, however it's still out of our reach.
However, many have given up. Why would they give up now?
They realized that it wasn't the promise of knowing that was the reward, it was the pursuit of the knowledge that kept them going.
So, why on Earth did I just bore you with that story?
It's the same for the Timeline.
I ask you, seekers of the knowledge...
What will you do when you find it?
It's debatable if there even is a solid timeline, but I digress.
I'll be content with just knowing it; then I'll move on. There are many things in life to enjoy and explore- I don't have the time to dwell too long on any single one.
i dont devote my life to it but i enjoy trying to put peices together like a puzzle
My theory on the timeline:
THERE IS NONE!!!
