We all claim to know Advanced Techniques for our characters... but how many of you actually use them in a tense fight instead of reverting to smash spamming and roll dodge abusing?
Seeing as my mains fluctuate by my mood... its hard for me to answer that question.
Universally, I use buffer attacks frequently since they work with all character.
With Wario, I can periodically pull off a buffer CG, but its hard to do over Wi-Fi. With Mario I use fireball techs often and cape glide every once and a while. Other than that, I rarely do more than the basic short hop aerial game and creative use of projectiles (TL).
There's Luigi Jab cancels, IC's grab game (which I can use fairly well), Squirtle hyrdoplaning, and a few Ness combos I can pull off.
It seems to me sometimes you basically screw over your more advanced playing style in favor of frantic button mashing when the fight is getting out of hand.
Well..... thanks to me switching over to a better game cube controller, I'm not (more so) Implementing Metaknights Vanishing trick into my fights more and more.
My only problem is, IS that I can't control it... and there is a 33% chance I'll go Right off the stage. -_-
I don't know what level of glitching this is though......
My other mains..well I only know Pit's infinite flying ability, but that doesn't help me in battle at all.
Thats about it.
I can learn more I suppose but I don't have an interest in that at the moment.
The only one I really use in serious matches in wolf's auto canceled fair. I try to mortar slide a lot with him, but it's ridiculously hard and I end up just doing my dash attack.
Tisk tisk Star, use that trick on me and you'll pay. :D
Mortar-Sliding with anyone other than Snake is a pain... I never even got the hang of it with him.
I've seen Star do that before against me.
But I always dodge it.

What do you mean I'll pay?
I don't use it to attack people, I use it more of defense measure...to avoid things like FINAL SMASHES.
If I attack when I reappear it's out of accident to be honest with you.
I don't know how I can attack when reappearing or not. :robotindifferent:

Now that you mention it, I've seen Playat do that before in vids.
I might be dreaming but I saw a few times Playat did that to avoid FSs.

Well, I haven't gotten the chance to dodge ALL FS's... It doesn't happen often to where it's like that......... but lol....... I have people chasing me all the time on BB on Eldin Bridge.
So much fun, I swear. :D
... Is there an advanced technique for Kirby and Zelda?
I can bunny hop and hammer with Kirby. It's pretty awesome. Yeah.
I Hydroplane, Reverse Hydroplane, Shell Shift, and all that fun stuff with Squirtle.
I can DACUS sometimes. When I mained Shiek I started to get a consistency but I've lost it now. I usually dashdance and foxtrot a bit, I sometimes stutter step smashes.
So yeah I generally use AT's in all my matches. Seeing as all of my matches are usually AiB ladder matches, they're all serious.
I like abusing DKs grab shenanigans if you consider that to be an advanced technique. I also like ledge singing with Jiggly, but that hardly ever works.
I just recently started using Shell Shift to Grab... I was amazed how much range it gave Squirtle. D:
I tend to use Snake's Mortar Slide quite a bit, but mostly just for movement and attacking at the same time. I rarely, if ever, use it as part of an offensive strategy.
I can also use Sonic the edgehog pretty effectively. But that only works every now and then. It's good for mindgames though. I get my Sonic close to the edge and the little bit of doubt gets some people in a tizzy during recovering.
I don't play frantically ever. Pretty much everything I do is a super hard advanced tactic.

Of course it is RA.
Just because you are a god doesn't mean you have to make us feel bad. :(

You know that the move is banned in organized play, right? =p
Anyways, I use a lot of Yoshi's techs when I play. Edge Canceled Eggs, Egg Toss Slide, Dragonic Reverse, Dragonic Trot, Release Chain Grabs (and all the included shenanigans), Lag Canceled Roll, Egg roll bounce, Yoshi Bomb Slide, Super Jump (on occasion), DJC Egg lay, Wavebounced specials, Yoshi bomb ledge grab, and Pivot grab. Long list is long, but I know I'm forgetting things/leaving them out
Zap Jumping has saved my life countless times.
I've started using Pit's Wing Refresh to chase people after I knock them off the stage.
And I arrow loop a bit when I feel like showing off.
my favorite is lucario.
the way i fight with him: crap this guy is fast, c stick, c stick, c stick, down b, c stick, c stick, down b, random b mashing, c stick, c stick up, get knocked off somehow. thats y im better with meta knight. random button pressing seems to get things done with him.

really to be honest you could do anything with metaknight and he'd still be really good

More like "Annoying" >__>
@ Depster, of course I know it's Bann'd. But I don't play in tournaments at all, so I don't care.
@_@
Most good MK's could beat your with F-air and Tornado alone.
Maybe even just F-air.
Eh Dair camping seems to be the new thing =/
I don't know a single AT.
