Title: Well....Now I'm starting to get worried....
Post by: WiiGuy on June 26, 2009, 04:50:05 AM
I don't think you guys will remember This (http://www.nsfcd.com/forums/index.php?topic=27900.0).

But I got a "The system files are corrupted. Please refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting." this morning :(

Now, last time it (if you care to read the post) I got it while going into the Nintendo Channel, Well this time, all i did was turn the wii on, hit A, click the disc channel [Wii sports was in], and bam. i got the error.....so, i turned it off, turned it back on, went into the disc channel....everything acted normaly....so i click start, then i get the error again :(

Thats when i started to get worried, So if turned it off again, ejected the disc. turned it on, clicked Nintendo channel, everything loaded and worked normaly, went back to the wii menu, inserted the disc, entered it, and it was all smooth sailing :-\

Has anybody gotten this error, and if so, what were you doing, and what state of loading was the wii in [loading a channel, or just sitting on the wii menu for that channel]

Also, idk if this matters but I played Super mario world last night and.......wait a sec....
Quote from: from mesuper mario world and Super mario bros lost levels couldn't get all their data copied.
hmmmmmm......but i played SMW a couple of days ago, and everything worked fine :|

any thoughts or suggestions on what i should do?

That is pretty unnerving. I've only gotten a random error about once every two months.

It's probably just normal. ;)

If it gets worse, however, you may have a problem.

Yay, you jinxed me :| just happened to me while I was trying to play Brawl. But I am assuming it's just a common problem. Have you updated the system?

Ever have a PS2?
When you get corrupt memory on a PS2, it is un-erasable and grows.
Eventually it can wreak havoc on your system... although this could be different.

Ha, remember when I lost my Wii a few weeks back? That lovely error came up, in corrupted lettering, and wouldn't let me past the startup. My Wii was basically toast. Sucks. However, if you're at the point where it is random, I'd just send it into Nintendo - it seems they have their own Red Ring of Death.

Yes, it's at 4.1 right now.

I'm at a point where, if it happens again, then I'll most likely send it in.

I never get those errors.
I used to get disc read errors, but that stopped a while ago.
