- Best advertising for a DS game... EVER
Apparently Prof. Layton made a Twitter page (obviously mean as good fun to advertise the game), when he mentions he was invited to Smash, and promptly left after discovering it was a fighting tournament (mentioning Pikachu, Kirby, Megaman, Geno, and Little Mac with some tongue in check humor).
That was some excellent advertising if I have to say so myself. Hell, it made me realize the game was even coming out.
They've had huge commericial success with Layton. Which is great, as it is a fantastic series. They were selling so many copies a year later they had to boost the price to try and deter people to keep the supply in check with the demand. So it really makes sense they are using this as a tool.
