Yeah being one of many DB fan, I wanna know which is better. DBZ or DB GT and why?
My opinion. DBZ is way better than GT. Why? More action, good story and characters.

I didn't bother watching much of GT.
It really depends on what part of DBZ, as it can really be broken into 3 separate parts (it was supposed to end after both Frieza and Cell).
I'd say DBZ is better until the Cell saga ends. However, I think GT is better once DBZ hits the Buu saga X_X;;
GT tried to take it back to the original story's roots of mild action with comedic adventure. Unfortunately most of the villains sucked balls besides the Shadow Dragons (and even they were pushing it).

Although everything after the SSJ4 transformation in GT was pure win.

But I still say the Shadow Dragon's was one of the best Saga's in an Anime I've ever seen. I LOVED it. Super 17 was alright, and Baby just SUCKED
I liked DBZ better. The villans were more badass.
Although, General Rildo was by far the most awesome of any villain.

Everything besides the Buu saga, was just epic and very entertaining to watch.
GT kinda sucked until the shadow dragon saga.
