QuoteFox released a statement saying "We love the Futurama voice performers and absolutely wanted to use them, but unfortunately, we could not meet their salary demands. While replacing these talented actors will be difficult, the show must go on. We are confident that we will find terrific new performers to give voice to Matt and David's brilliantly subversive characters."

WHAT THE FU-RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGEEEEEE
also, hai NSFCD, I'm lurking
intercourse that they had better get darn good replacements
Oh no....
If John Di Maggio and Katey Sagal leave, then I won't watch this show again.
better than the show having died entirely
"That means no more Billy West (Fry, Professor, and Ziodberg), Katey Sagal (Leela), John DiMaggio (Bender), Maurice LaMarche (Kif Kroker, among others), or Tress MacNeil (Mom, and several others)."
What the Fuck? Isn't that almost the entire cast? How much money did they ask for?
Yeah, bad move FOX. Billy West, Katey Sagal, and John DiMaggio are the most recognizable voices on the show. Maybe if they had changed the voice of less important characters, it wouldn't matter, but they changed the three main characters voices.
Darn... that really blows.
I blame the actors. They make poop loads of cash, and now need to get greedy and ask for an even bigger raise during an economy crisis. They obviously don't care that much about their fans.
Or Fox could be cheapskates and don't want a big dent in their wallets. I didn't read the whole article, so I don't know the full scope of the situation. It could go either way, but I'm leaning towards the problem lying with the actors.
The intercourse ?
If they aren't gonna use the same voice actors for the MAIN CHARACTERS they might as well just make a new series instead of intercourse ing up this one...
Well actually, as long as they're somewhat good, I could care less, I don't pay much attention anyway to the voices anyway.
it just won't be the same

Really? The unique voices gave the show personality...It might as well be dead.
I say we make some Torgo's Executive Powder out of those fox guys!
Well, time to find another show to watch.
Zoidberg... was my favorite. :_:

Who is to say that the new voices won't either match up, or improve on the old ones? I know I'll miss "Good News Everyone!", but give it a chance before judging it.

Voices on a TV show can never really improve. It's like making Fry's hair brown, is it an improvement?

stop being so pessimistic. give it a chance before judging it. It's better than the show being canceled.

You obviously didn't read the other post of mine, either that or your obsessive brain blocked it out.
By the voices never being able to be improve, I mean, the voice is their voice, you can't improve someone's voice, it's part of their character, like Fry's orange hair.

just because it can't improve doesn't mean that the show can't survive. The show will draw new viewers who have never watched the old episodes and don't know the personality of the characters. I'm not saying that it will be better by any means, but at least it will still have the same storytelling, etc.
I'm sure after a week or two no one will really care about the change anymore. The do it with tons of television shows, but no one really notices later on.

Yeah they changed an entire actor for a character in one of my shows and at first I hated it, then it became normal and I didn't care anymore.
This is probably more like what happened when they found a new actor for Homer on The Simpsons. Everyone was outraged, but they got over it.
plus its not like they're gonna get people who sound nothing like the old actors.....hopefully.

Unless the voices COMPLETELY change, then we will be fine. And even if they do completely change, you'll get over it.
