That's right, I went there. So, after over a year, who do you prefer to play as: Mewtwo from Melee, or Lucario from Brawl?
I like Mewtwo a lot better. He has an extremely unique feel to him; you can't just run in button-mashing and hope to have any chance to win, and I love that. He requires a real strategy to use at all, and he's amazing once you get the hang of it. What's more is that it all involves tail whips and telekinesis, giving him a kind of untouchable feel.
Mewtwo. He's cooler. Feels smoother and better.
Lucario's cool though. He's harder to use (to me) than Mewtwo is.

I agree...
And Mewtwo could like Disappear when he mid air dodges OR tries to Recover.
And IMO he has one of the longest spot dodges from SSBM (I Think). And when he does spot dodge, it looks like he doesn't even move in the attack goes right through him, which always made him look cooler I think.
He also has awesome throws, but his best throw was his Forward throw when he shot small shadow balls towards the enemy...hurting Them and anybody caught in the fire.
Now nobody has a throw like that...... a throw that can hurt Everybody in the path.
His N-air was also tight.......
LOL, Yeah, I'd choose Mewtwo....... now that I think about Mewtwo and all of his moves and what not, what the heck was Sakurai thinking when he didn't include mewtwo!
σ_?
Mewtwo. Not only in melee, but in the actual Pokemon games as well.
Mewtwo was more fun to play as, more deserving, and more badass because it was freakin' Mewtwo. The first uber in the pokemon games that single handedly kicked everyone's asses assuming they also didn't have Mewtwo in their party.
I liked playing as Lucario better.
Both. Would be Lucario but his Smash moves suck.
I think Mewtwo also contributed more to the SSB series, as he's the only real villain that Pokemon ever had.
He was a freaking good villain at that; I mean, his plan was to make a clone army to murder everyone in the world, and he was so powerful that the only way to stop him was for Ash to COMMIT SUICIDE and gain his sympathy!
And yes, Anime does affect Brawl, as seen by the inclusions of Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Pichu, Mewtwo, Squirtle, Charizard, and Lucario, all of whom got their popularity from the Anime.

In the first Pokemon movie. Pikachu's tears of unfathomable sadness saved the day.
You should definitely see it, StarWindWizard7. It's without question the best of the movies... well, up until the ending.
Lucario.
Mewtwo would have been good if it wasn't for his poor knockback attacks. (I'd choose Pichu over him).
Lucario.
See- Azen
Lucario sucks dick
Mewtwo is the most gansta pokemon
Mewtwo of course, I mean, he didn't even pick up items or people, in fact he rarely used his hands besides for show. I finally realized that Lucas' N Air was very similar to Mewtwo's, which is why I liked it so much. The only thing I didn't like about Mewtwo was his up B, it was boring.
yeah but Azen's Lucario isn't anything special when you consider the fact that its Brawl aka "poopty noob game compared to Melee"
Mewtwo. Nuff said.
Um, wait a minute here...
Is everybody basing their votes to Mewtwo by popularity?

You quit before Metagame had a little boom.
More people are playing Brawl than Melee ever had, and really some of the tactics and techs that people are using now is giving Brawl just as much depth as Melee.
Brawl isn't complete poop, just something different than Melee.
no actually its complete poop

False. Just because it's slower and floatier doesn't mean it's s***

"okey".
I just wish there was hitstun in brawl. Brawl+ and BBrawl and just too much change

Yeah, I wonder why Brawl is laughed upon in the fighting community.
Melee is better, but Brawl is not "complete s***." It's still fun, and still has competitive aspects.
Mewtwo
The most badass of all pokemon
Mewtwo wins. /thread
