Title: How do I increase my ability to focus?
Post by: JMV on July 21, 2009, 07:47:31 PM
I constantly lose my ability to focus and can't pay attention when reading--especially when it's something about programming/computers/introduces a new concept. I'll see something in a book about computers or programming and then get up and read the article on Wikipedia, then click a few links and read more. I then get bored and go back to Boyah or Reddit.

How do i stop myself from trying to get up and read an article on an interesting subject while i'm trying to finish the book?

Self control. If you care enough about the purpose of your book, you can control yourself.
