It's freaking awesome. Enough said.
But to avoid lockbait, I'll go into more detail :)
When I first heard of this game, I was kind of eh, I'll play it if my dad gets it, but I don't really care. Then my dad got it and I played it. Then I started really enjoying it :D
You've already heard all of these songs if you've been a fan of the GH series from the start but the note charts actually fresh as they've been redone and have al the features from WT added in as well in much more creative and original ways than they're ben used before. Try to picture this if you can, I probably won't explain it very well.
Barrucuda -- Heart (GH3)
Long red note, picks up a long yellow note, picks up a long blue note, blue note ends, strum three blue notes, pick up a long blue note, then the three notes end. Or something like that.cen
I haven't played note charts like these before, and it looks like there'll be more of it. It's awesome.
I think I'll enjoy this game mre than GH5, looking at it's setlist, so it'll work. I'd suggest buying it.
I like Barracuda's intro
but don't like the rest lol
I really didn't like smash hits, if you already have played other guitar hero games, you really aren't getting a new experience with the songs, except for drums. I preffered metallica more

-Vocals (And drums...And bass for the Guitar Hero 1 tracks and a few others...Good bass stuff there)
-Full Band play (so your friends won't be like 'lolwut' when you open GH1 and none of them can play)
-Master Tracks
-It, along with World Tour can export to GH5. (Tho metallica may as well in the future)
Yeah, that's more than you said. I like Smash Hits more as a vocalist, but both are great. Take Me Out, No One Knows, Lay Down, Take It Off, Heart-Shaped Box, Woman, and others I'm forgetting right now are just amazing for the full band.
Smash Hits is terrible
They changed the majority of the charts, for reasons I'm not sure of. Which doesn't really go over well with me to be honest.
Oh well, TK's probably happy.

Actually, I like most of the charts. It's just getting use to them (They're changed to fit with the master recording) I however HATE Some (Stop!, Raining Blood, and TTFAF Come into mind) But the Bass, Drum, and Vocal Charts are at least fine. I kinda wish they'd put more songs in it to, after re-looking at the GH:V/M/5/WT Lists, they could've easily liscensed what? 10 More? But of course they'll make a second one to get stuff like Crossroads, Infected, Search and Destroy, etc. That's activision for you.
While I like it, that's probably because of the fact I'm a multi instrumentalist and I play band play a lot (And exporting) But for say, the average person getting into the series, It's def not a good idea. Be sure to try it before buying, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A GUITARIST. (However, D/B/V Are completely fine)
With all these releases, you'd think they'd polish the game up a bit better.
Guitar Hero isn't impressive anymore. At least Rock Band pushes the envelope with all-around better setlists and DLC.
And a user interface/in-game interface that doesn't suck atrocious dick.
