Title: Swimming.
Post by: Doodle on August 09, 2009, 08:25:04 PM
The season of summer, full of hot weather and swimming to get away from it.
Do you like swimming? Why don't you like it, if you don't? Where do you tend to go swimming the most?

I don't mind swimming, but I have a pool. Usually I won't go swimming unless I have to clean the pool, or it's really hot out like it was today(90 degrees. ;__;).

I shoulda grabbed my friends and went swimming. One of them lives in an apartment complex with a pretty nice pool and today would've been perfect 'cause it was so hot out. Oh well.

I either take my Golf Cart or Bike to the pool.
I went today actually, but it was more for the biking.

(its 2-3 miles to the pool from my house)

HAHAHA 90 degrees isn't hot, it can be 105 for a week straight here.

Swimming, I've done all my lessons, know my strokes and dives, but lately I haven't really cared.  It's just not that fun for me anymore.

However, I need to tread water for two hours to set a personal record.

When I was a kid, 110 degrees was mildly annoying...

I swam a lot as a kid. Not terribly well, but I knew how. But I haven't swam for years, so I'm not sure how well I'd do now. Although swimming is like riding a bike, you never really forget.

Nope, can't swim...and don't want to.

Water isn't my thing.

I'd rather Sky dive instead.

I like swimming.

As long as I don't have to go into too deep of water x_x

Even though I can swim, I still hate going into water that's more than 5 feet deep.

Oh, I'm sure if somebody taught me...I could learn.
But I feel I don't have the basic instincts to naturally swim.
I really don't understand it.

Those who can swim with out goggles or nose pieces to keep water from entering there body. I mean, doesn't it burn going up your nose?? WTH.....
and then you can see under water? My eyes would be watery/stuffed for hours.

And the fear of not staying a float mostly keeps me from swimming all together.

I think it takes a horrendous experience in a persons life that can possibly and Permanently scar them enough to try to do that Same action again.

Like me almost drowning in my cousins swimming pool for example.
Ever since Then........ I Don't Do water at all.

Me getting baptized was the last time I stuck my head under water...... YEARS Ago...and that was hard enough as is.
I covered my mouth and nose and Still got water in my system some how. LOL

Anyway-

Water is for Fishes... :P

Air in your nose stops the water. D:
I can only open 1 eye in water for some reason...
It doesn't burn, unless the chlorine is too concentrated in which case you're in trouble.

I used to be able to open my eyes in water, but now I can't.

And I only swim in water up to six feet because I'm too lazy to go deeper.

Air in your Nose? ? ? ? What?? LOL

I'm not Surprised by THAT being the answer, but I don't understand the mechanics.....

Lol

If I HAD to go swimming, I don't care if I have a Dora The Explora life jacket and ring.... That would be the only way....... I don't care!

I love to swim.
but for some reason, my eyes burn way too much underwater.
Even if it has little chlorine.

Stop going to the poopty public beaches then.  And the salt burns your eyes only if you let the water get in your eyes.
