Well, what do you think of this?
I'm very happy that a player as great as he was got a second chance. For all the people who claim that Vick should never be allowed back in the NFL.....well you really need to shut the hell up. There are people in the NFL who are responsible for the death of humans, but nobody sees any problem with them being allowed to play. Vick killed dogs, and yes it was a horrible thing,, but he spent 2 years in prison, he paid his dues. All of the dogs Vick has killed do not amount up to a human life. Humans are more important then animals.
My brother said he's getting a Vick Eagles jersey.
Aww, I was just about to make this.
I agree with everything you said. Players in the NFL have done worse things than dog fighting, yet nobody cares about them. Vick served his time, people need to get over it.

I have a Vick Falcons jersey. By the time it fit and I could finally wear it, he got into trouble, so I never felt like wearing it. D:

I would get one if I was an Eagles fan lol
If humans are more important than animals, why are you making a big deal of him becoming an eagle?

ololol i c wut u did thar
FIRST AND FOREMOST, I am most angry about the whole Vick affair because he committed a HORRIBLE crime, and served MONTHS for it. If us normal joes did the same thing, we would get YEARS!
Also, on another note, his crime was WAY beyond horrible. Dog Fighting has alot underneith the skin of just several dogs fighting to the death. Have you ever seen them TRAIN these dogs? Truly, it's astounding. Anyboy even CONSIDERING having him back on a team, after these things, should just die. And I'm particularly ashamed that the EAGLES, one of my favorite teams, decided on this.
As for others killing actual humans and still on the team, THEY SHOULDN'T FUCKING BE THERE EITHER. SERIOUSLY, ROT IN FUCKING JAIL YOU HOMICIDAL FUCK SAUSAGES. People shouldn't even CONSIDER these people. Sure, they're good, but do you REALLY want them on your team, knowing that they ACTUALLY CAN KILL SOMEBODY? HUH?
Another thing is, to crazy people (and Vick might just as well be one of them), 8 months in jail doesn't stop them. Usually, they keep killing people or raping children, or whatever else they did. JUST BECAUSE HE SERVED JAIL TIME DOESN'T MEAN HE WON'T DO IT AGAIN DUMBASSES!
And what astounds ME, is that YOU PEOPLE DON'T GIVE A SHIT! YOU HORRIBLE LITTLE FUCKS! YOU GUYS MAKE ME EVEN WONDER WHY I HANG OUT HERE!
[/rant]
Also, it wanst even him, it was his friends. He just allowed it to happen on his property. I don't even see why he went to prison for more than a month.... And yeah, He killed dogs does that really make him a bad player? He can still run and catch a ball I would of kept him on the team lol.

If a group of people killed your WHOLE f***ING FAMILY, but only one person did all the killing, and all the other people just provided him with what he needed (In Vick's case, his space.), would those people be not THAT guilty and should serve no more than a month?

Eh my family are people not dogs.

While that is VERY true, and I completely agree that dogs < people, I still see this crime as grisly, even if Vick himself didn't commit the who knows how many of who knows what. The fact that Vick even KNEW about it, and didn't do a thing, and probably benefited from it. shows he is almost as terrible as the ones who did all the dog fighting. And quite frankly, as asinine as it sounds, I can't believe you don't share my opinion.
As an attempt (A most likely wasteful attempt, but one none-the-less.) to change your minds, I have found a video; a documentary about dog fighting. It's..... pretty grusome. But I'd advise you to watch all the parts. Cause this stuff ACTUALLY HAPPENS!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5aamjFmrjo : Part 5

Watch these, and tell me that even something as little as providing space to these monsters isn't a big deal.
Done, and I still think Vick paid his dues.
Honestly, I know of people who had their job back after jail for MURDER. Go complain about them. Also,
(http://my.barackobama.com/page/-/external_organizing/obama_shep_print_final.jpg)
Dogs =/= Humans
Get over it. The guy deserves a second chance. He's done his time and paid his dues, why can't he have a second chance?
"Hide your beagle, Vick's an eagle."

Vick served two years in prison...which is an appropriate amount of time IMO.
I've already seen several dog fighting documentary videos, and my opinion is still the same. Vick has all the rights in the world to get a job and to make money now that he has served his prison time....wouldn't you agree? If Vick was given a job at a gas station nobody would care, its juts because its the NFL and he's going to be making millions that people seem to care.
Animal cruelty is bad.
But they are animals. It was not a grisly crime, and he does not deserve years in prison.
As for the league taking him back, I was never really mad at him in the first place. If the league is willing to move on, so should we. Look at Kobe, how he was accused of rape and yet now he is one of the most popular players in the NBA.
Sometimes, you just have to move on.
McNaab will play more though.
