Title: The Resistance
Post by: Silly_Penguin on August 27, 2009, 07:26:40 AM
So Muse's next album is to be released Sept 14/15. So far they have released Uprising and United States of Eurasia as well as 30 sec previews for each of the songs off the album  here. (http://muse.mu/media-player/albums/47/the-resistance/)
I love Uprising and USoE, and even the 30 second previews sound awesome. The only song i'm a bit weary about is Guiding Light, but probably it will be just as find when hearing the whole thing within the album.

It sounded generic and mediocre to me, and this is coming from a Muse fan.

Who listened to the album twice.

I listened to it a couple times o me it did seem like kinda more leaning towards the mainstream, but still I thought it was awesome. Maybe not as good as their other albums, but still good. My friend who's also a Muse fan who I was talking to basically has kind of a similar kind of view on it.
I didn't think Exogenesis sounded generic at all though, that seemed to me the piece closer to the style of some of their stuff from like Absolution or Black Holes & Revelations.
