Title: The Autumn weather is approaching...
Post by: Dog Food on September 11, 2009, 07:01:53 PM
And along with this marvelous season of colorful leaves, pumpkins, and the beginning of school, comes the next big line-up of TV series. We all know that all the 'big time' shows make their appearance around this time of year. The question we must ask is a simple one. What is playing this time around, and are we going to watch it? I'll tell you right now, you shan't be dissappointed. Among all of our favorite old time hits come some newcomers who are just raring for action.

The Jay Leno Show (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/jay-leno/297390) is looking to be a great spin-off of Leno's previous hit (The Tonight Show). He's looking to incorporate the old, while still appearing new. Featuring this Fall, it is looking to be promising.

And, of course, who can forget everyone's favorite Monday night hit, House (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/house/100213). What crazy things will House say and do? Although there are the rumors that a 'nicer' side of House will show (if that's possible), that doesn't mean it won't be just as, if not better, than its predecessors.

One new show that has caught the eyes of many: Glee (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/glee/296380). A song-and-dance type show that connects with everyone through the use of highly over exaggerated cliques and teen romance/drama. I'll admit it, I enjoy watching it and can accept it's flaws (hell, if I didn't accept flaws I'd be complaining about everything).

Flash Forward (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/flash-forward/297514), also known as 'Lost Look-alike', seems to have an interesting premise. The question we must ask is, what will happen after an explanation is found? I've come to the conclusion that it will be like Lost, and end up creating idiot filler/sub-plots to try something new that utterly fails. Regardless, even I'm wondering 'why has everyone suddenly gotten a glimpse of their future?'

Whether you love it or hate it, Family Guy (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/family-guy/100148) is here to stay. With the fun "harmless" antics of Peter, Family Guy is a lovely not-for-the-children type show. The question remains, will Family Guy be okay after losing our favorite black pal, Cleveland? It is in this Fall line-up that we will soon find out.

...Well, those are just a few of the many shows playing this Fall. What about Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Cold Case, Lie to Me, Cougar Town and the many, many more? See, I didn't lie. There are a lot of other shows I didn't mention. Well, which are you planning on watching, which look dumb, which look cool, what old shows are you watching again this Fall, what new shows are you planning on seeing? Please, tell all.

As for me, I'm watching Family Guy (random hilarious win), Glee (I don't know how, I just got sucked into it), Jay Leno (he's so funny), Cougar Town (I'm not sure about this one, but I love Courtney Cox ever since Friends), Desperate Housewives (it's a family thing with my family and my friend's family), House (obviously), The Office (I want to work there when I grow up), Parks & Recreations (I love Amy Poehler, but last season was 'eh', so we'll see what happens this time around), Saturday Night Live (I'm on a boat, motherintercourse er), Ghost Whisperer (another tradition that I watch with family)... And that is it, as far as I know. The best part is I have DVR, so I watch whenever, wherever.

The Autumn weather is approaching... and with it comes some tough decisions.

Flash Forward is the only one I'm remotely interested in. Other than that, I'll just watch my regular SciFi, Spike, TruTV, and Comedy Central.

Glee is perhaps the funniest and most random song/dance series I've ever watched. :P

I am fully convinced that Glee is the best musical comedy television series on regular cable right now. In all seriousness, though, it really is a great show.

I should also check out the Jay Leno Show; that looks funny too.

"Who killed Abraham Lincoln?"
"*points at picture* That guy did it."

Jay Leno starts tonight, 10 PM, EST. Be there, or be square.

House and Family Guy (please don't hurt me) are the only ones I'll probably watch.
