You may have noticed the new NSFCD TCG in our midst. Or maybe you didn't. Either way, it is a brand new TCG for these forums featuring 80+ cards and steadily increasing its numbers. To promote it, and as a chance to get the TCG off to an exciting start, I'm proposing a tournament. A tournament that everyone and anyone can enter. You can learn the basic rules of the TCG here (http://www.nsfcd.com/forums/index.php?topic=33426.0). In order to get your starter deck (which is vital in entering the tournament), you can post here, post in the TCG thread, or PM me.
Basically, I'm cordially inviting everyone to enter a TCG tournament. You can respectfully decline, or choose to try it out. You'll receive your starter deck via PM, and can then practice in the TCG thread until the tournament begins. Winner will receive a special, unreleased card, and perhaps a rank, as well. I can't give out too many of the tournament details just yet, but you are free to ask any questions here.
Also, by joining this tournament you aren't being forced to participate in the TCG. The TCG is extremely flexible, and allows you to have an account and never use it, or pop in for a game rarely, or however else you wish to participate. This is just a chance for everyone to try it out in one giant tournament for every member of this site, rather than confining it to the people currently participating in the TCG. Now is the perfect time to offer this chance to the public, as the players currently in the TCG only have their starter deck and hold no special advantage.
You have until Sunday, September 20th to sign up. I hope you all will give it a try. Any details you need can, once again, be found here (http://www.nsfcd.com/forums/index.php?topic=33426.0).
I'd like one. TCGs are usually pretty fun.

Is this a children's card game or just a regular card game?

We're on the forum with a bunch of teenagers and a couple of adults. What other card game other than a children's one would we be playing?
By the way, I'll spice it up. I'm adding a rank into the mix. And because I'm a prick, some arcade perks...once it is back. Cheers!

But if you discard it, your damage for the turn becomes 0!
Speaking of cards, what happened to Poker Night?
Poker Night was put on hiatus due to some issues. Again, expect that soon.
I play my Jinzo card, and you can't play traps anymore. Assholes.
KJ, give me a few to look into it and you can probably count me in.

It's a TCG, so I'm going to go with children's.
I'm already part of the TCG but I'll be participating in this tournament.

Wrong; Jinzo prevents anyone from using outdated internet references.
I'll play.
I'd like to take part in this, hopefully I won't do horribly.

Will a loss in the tourney count as a loss in the stats?

No, this tournament won't count towards your stats. It will effect the winner in different ways, though.
