some VERY interesting leaked news from an alleged SEGA and Sony meeting early August. While IGN is a bit sketchy and tend to jump the gun sometimes, I at least hope this is true.
The cliffnotes version:
SEGA hopefully plans to put Dreamcast games on the PSN, as timed exclusives if they are even put on XBLA.
SEGA is working with Sony's motion controllers. Virtua Tennis much? Possibly as early as March?
PS2 titles to be on PSN, especially SEGA's.
Special Edition Bayonetta
Special import store for us North American's who didn't get some stuff from the Genesis/Saturn/Dreamcast days
And finally, a special "Best of Sonic" Blu-Ray disc for the PS3 with "all old Sonic games on one disc". While this is probably one of my most vested interested, I have to wonder what constitutes "all old games". Does it mean everything until SEGA went third party? Even by DVD standards, the Dreamcast discs didn't hold a whole lot, and this is a freakin' blu ray. It's conceivable that this collection could have all the Master System/Genesis/Saturn/Dreamcast games. Well, the good ones anyway.
What does everyone think of the so called "leak"?
The Blu-Ray is exciting news, for sure.
It's too bad I don't have the money for a PS3 or 360, though. ;_;
Yup, definitely getting a PS3 now. I just hope that this is true-

Oh God. I think I'll take a PS3 over a 360.
You could put literally every single game Sonic game and spin-off ever on one Blu-Ray disc. All the Master System games, all the Genesis games, all the Game Gear Games, all the Saturn games, all the Dreamcast games, and all the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube games. If they wanted to put Sonic Unleashed or Sonic 2006 on it, they would have to use another disc, though.
They could add the Pico games if they wanted to.
