Title: I need your logs.
Post by: Silverhawk79 on October 29, 2009, 08:43:53 PM
Or at least, you need them. Why?
Well, to repopulate the sparse QDB. Find where your IRC program stores them and upload them to some filesharing service (mediafire.com is great, megaupload.com works too), and post the links here. I'm going to try to repopulate the QDB with some of the quotes we used to have.
For mIRC: C:/Users/[your name here]/AppData/Roaming/mIRC/logs/
It'll be labeled "#nsider irc.chatspike.net".

Something to find the logs that works on all versions of windows (what Silver posted is Vista/7 only) :
mIRC: Type, without the quotes, "%APPDATA%/mIRC/logs" in either the run prompt or the address bar of Explorer then find the #nsider.ChatSpike.log file.
Pidgin: Type, without the quotes, "%APPDATA%/.purple/logs/irc/" in either the run prompt or the address bar of Explorer then open the chatspike folder and find the #nsider.chat folder.

How many people here are going to feel like looking through them? I guess I'll use Notepad++'s text search to look for a few that I remember.

Listen to this man.
Or just upload them into the QDB again. We need some of the good quotes back. D:

I can probably look through them myself.
Not like I have anything better to do. >.>
