In case you haven't heard, a port of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was actually released yesterday for Wii. Will you pick it up? What are your thoughts?
Personally, I'll get it, because I never got a chance to play it. I think the graphics might be a little watered down, but...who cares?
Rent
If there is nothing new, then whats the point? I haven't researched it much so I'll keep my 360 version and just play this with the gimmick controls.

That's what most will probably do, but...I'm one of those poor souls without a 360 or a computer that can run it.
I'm going to buy it just so I can beat it and add another game to my collection.
Of course I'll buy it. I only have a Wii, so I haven't been able to play it.
Modern Warfare 2 comes out.
Wii gets the original.
"released in North America, Australia, and Europe in November 2007 for video game consoles and Windows, was released for the Mac in September 2008, and was released for the Wii in November 2009"
Don't worry guys, two more years and you'll be playing Modern Warfare 2 on Wii!
I don't like fps so I won't be getting it

Same here.
Every FPS game is basically the same thing, over and over again.

is there really much difference between the first game in a FPS series and it's sequels?

Yes. Stop being retarded, FPS games have a storyline just like the other genres.

heh, it's so easy to piss off hardcore fps fans
Whoa, so many shots being fired at the FPS genre without any valid justification. Typical.
The same can be said about RPG's, or just about any other genre if you get down to it.
On topic: Wii port looks terrible. I'll pass.
