According to IGN, Gamespot, and other fairly reliable sources in terms of just plain news, the official North American/Europe release date for XIII is March 9th.
FREAKIN' UGH. Middle of the semester for me, not to mention No More Heroes 2, Galaxy 2 (If Nintendo is actually to be believed for once), and God of War 3 are expect around the same time. Something tells me I'll be forced to wait this game out until late April or early May...
Square Enix themselves confirmed that the game will be released on March 9th.
Hopefully I'll have a PS3 by then, and will be able to buy it.
I'm just thankful they ported it to the 360.
Heaven forbid I be subject to swapping discs and abstaining from vocal work in japanese. Oh no not that! Incredibly trivial. The complaints PS3 fanboys have over this are so stupid.
Imbeciles.
I do have my doubts about FFXIII though. FFXII was pretty terrible story-wise. Ever since Sakaguchi left it's like the soul of the franchise is gone. Hell, Lost Odyssey, if it had been labeled a Final Fantasy name would have been immensely popular. The game was exceptionally good too.
From what I've seen, the only character so far that I think I like is the black guy with the chocobo chick living in his fro'. Lighting is boring and has a terrible name to boot. I can only hope the rest become more likable.
Eh...that's enough out of me.

And that sums up why I am skeptical about this game.
Still going to probably end up getting it.

Oh look, English Dub trailer. I actually think they did a good job on the voices. Mouths seem off though, which really annoys me. Can't help it though.
Also, it looks like they might actually kill off one of your party members. Been a while since they did that (Not counting Tidus for multiple reasons).

It's all right, rayman, we know you liked Aerith a lot like many other people.

Meh, by the time I got around to playing 7 that plot idea was old and cliche.
Besides, I never found any of the characters in 7 that interesting so I didn't particularly care that much...especially since I didn't use Aeris that much.

Of course it's cliche if it's old.
Nevermind. There is only six people on your team. And the most likely people who will die are...
A. Evil
B. Important side characters who don't join.
Still, I don't know what to even think about this. Lightning is suppose to be a girl Cloud, which is just going to be annoying. Sazh is the greatest character in recent memory. Hope is going to be the annoying kid. Fang is a Dragoon(THE RETURN). Snow looks exactly like my best friend, so he's been dubbed "Furrey". And the other chick is for Rule 34.
Not too impressed with the line-up (minus Sazh)
