Sorry that was a lie. How are my fellow nsfcd'rs?
Anyway, content. My elective this semester was acting for theater. I was in the school play and discovered I really enjoy acting. So what about you guys? Do you appreciate the art or do you write it off as nonsense? And furthermore are you involved in any of the arts (art, drama, music, etc.) at your school?
I enjoy theater and music. Albeit, theater is limited to Shakespearean works, and music is now limited to Jazz. D:
and yay shenanigans
No, not really.
Of course! :D
At school i'm in choir, vocal jazz, choral, and women's choir.
I'd enjoy being in drama, musical theater, and dance as well...but I don't think I can act or dance, so um, yeah. :v

Do you guys only perform Shakespeare?
I enjoy acting. I joined the Drama Club at school and it's lots of fun. ^_^

I bet.
And Smashin, no. But my talents are not, erm, honed outside of that realm. I am far more talented when it comes to interpreting what Shakespeare had in mind then I am, say, Arthur Miller.

Oh, you can always learn though! I'm not a great actor myself but I enjoy doing it and love the group of people that do it. It takes practice is all.
We don't do Shakespeare, mostly improv games and stuff.
Last time we met, we formed groups of 8 and performed little skits of a family at thanksgiving dinner, but each person was a different stereotype. (an emo, a vegan, that loud italian guy (me btw))
Come to think of it, half of what we do revolves around stereotypes. :)

I can, yes. But truth be told I find few modern plays that speak to me. Shakespeare's works tend to be much more connected to me as a person. Richard II. Macbeth. Hamlet. Merchant of Venice. The Tempest. Midsummer. All of them are good, at the very least. With the first two being absolute favorites of mine.

To be honest I don't know fine literature or theater very well. I simply enjoy taking a character, making it my own and portraying it for an audience.
The most I do is help make movies with friends. D:
Theater is too much of a time drain, but I enjoy acting. I was in speech team Senior year of high school and right now I'm in a club called "Center Stage" that does any sort of expressive art...I usually do spoken word and poetry in a speech-team-type performance.
