I have a spring assist tanto knife sitting on my desk at all times, a poopty master sword I could try to defend myself with, and a room full of at least 200 guns in my house, if I could get in there I think I'd be fine.
If I'm locked inside in my house I would simply unlock it and leave.
Why is there a serial killer in my house? What does he want? What weapons does he have? Has he noticed me yet? If he hasn't, I better hide and be quiet about it. If he has, then I better escape via window. If I'm his target, I'll go down a hero.

I've practiced climbing out windows in my home, so I know I could escape that way.
But if I can't escape, for whatever reason, then yes I'll try to survive. I have a secret weapon stashed somewhere, (it's out in the open, but it blends in so well you'd never notice it. Trust me. Never.) so if I could just get to that then at least I could defend myself. And that shouldn't be too hard, since it's in the hallway between the upstairs and downstairs. I'd try reasoning with him. I heard of a girl who was about to be raped and killed was able to talk her way out of it. Well actually her baby was in the car, and the baby starting crying and it ruined the man's fantasy or something so he just ran away. And in The Silence of the Lambs they were saying that giving a person a name makes them more real, and it makes the killer more guilty and less likely to kill them or something like that. So I'd use names a lot and maybe say something like, "I'm a godmother to a little baby +namehere+, if you kill me you're keeping little baby +namehere+ with drunks and smokers. She'll end up lost on the street with nowhere to go. I'm her only hope. I won't tell anyone you were here, please this is for my baby. This is for +namehere+." Or other bullpoop like that.
And if I die, then I died. Oh well, game over.
I call 911, tell them that I'm stuck in my house with this serial killer, tell them I have no where to hide in my house and that I'm going all out on this guy. I have my handy knife on my desk that can easily break bones(I think it would do a better job doing that than actually slicing) and everything in my house suddenly becomes a weapon. This son of a ninny is going to be sorry he came in my house. If I end up dieing, and if I didn't break his legs or something to trap him in too, I would have definitely left enough clues to get him caught.

But I have many weapons in my room, and since you did not specify which weapons he had i'm going to assume he has a yo yo and a tin foil bat.
So I would run him through with my stainless steel Master Sword.
