Okay, no. But yes, the original Super Smash Bros. is now available on the Virtual Console for 1,000 points. Quite possibly the best VC update since Christmas, in that regard, since the Arcade version of Ninja Gaiden is now available.
Ninja Gaiden Arcade isn't much to get excited about.
...uhh, anyway, go buy it. Now. Seriously, do it now. Before wavedashing, before the Broken Base, before people started whining about Melee and Brawl, before Captain Falcon's memetastic status, and before Meta Knight's Godhood, there was this game. And it was AWESOME.
Agreed. :D
If you want to relive nostalgia, or just want a third option instead of Brawl or Melee, then download it. Unless you're lucky enough to have the actual cartridge, in which case, don't bother. Playing SSB64 with those three arm controllers is classic.
...I feel like I can actually agree with him! :O
Doesn't this go in the Smash Board?
Anyways; I already have the original catridge. Love the game completely; It's by far one of my favorite N64 games. One of my friends was like "yeah lets play melee" And the other was like "naw brawl's cooler for 2v2" And I just went "intercourse that let's play smash 64"
And to celebrate this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgv5o6cTqLc < The Metal Mario theme. Amazing.
Yes finally
I already have the original cart. I prefer Brawl, so I'm not gonna bother busting out the N64 or downloading. But I suppose I may be willing sometime. Mostly for the stages, they were epic.

I prefer Brawl
I giggled.
Anyway, I have the original on N64. No sense in downloading it, or at least paying for it again.
I have the cart but...
I bought this anyways. Why? There is a great feeling knowing I can play the whole series without unplugging my Wii.

I giggled.
Why? Brawl is definitely better than 64, if anything.
And so ends the agreement. >:(And why does Star have the courtesy to move this thread, but not post in it?
You're upset about him not posting in your thread?
*Sigh* It explains everything.
I have my N64 with this game upstairs in my room. Don't need to re-buy it for Wii. I learned that the hard way when I wasted all of my points on games I already had.
I'm still waiting for Harvest Moon 64. That's the only VC game I really want.
I can play it online with friends on my PC with a Gamecube controller... So.. It's pretty much the same. And I still have my N64 hooked up.

You have officially tempted me. I mean, online is one thing. Gamecube controller? I need to get one of those usb-gamecube thingies.
*has had Smash on VC for 2 years* :-X
I still play it on both Wii and N64, for whatever reason. I might possibly prefer this first one out of the three.
I just bought it...and I played my fav character during that time... Link.
Gawed, I suck........ it's like going back to the Stone age...and I just can't survive in this early smash universe.
Want to Air dodge, I can't.
Link's recovery sucks.
Can't spot dodge.... Ugh.
But I'm very excited to have this lost game of mines back in this way.
I'm so glad I took my super smash bros. skills and implemented them into SSBM, then took Those skills and went into Brawl.
Everything is just so natural (despite how difficult the first smash is for me).
Now, I know some of you guys will say, "The 1st smash is so easy, it gave me No problems at all".
*shrugs*
wtf'ever.
I came. Bricks.
As far as I know it still works on my N64 =D
Game was/is epic.
Yeah.
I still own it for my N64.
This game is STILL epic.
Bring back Board the Platforms plz plz plz.
CF's Up Special is still one of the most reliable KO's. :D
