Resident Evil 4
Final Fantasy XII
Mortal Kombat: Armegeddon
Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
Are any of these good?
I would assume RE:4 and FF:XII are good, but I haven't played them so I wouldn't know.
RE4 kicks ass. Go play it right now.
Mortal Kombat Armaggedon is meh. Deception was so much better.
Resident Evil 4 is the only game on that list you should play
I recommend playing Final Fantasy XII. It has a great combat system and a fairly good soundtrack and story. While Resident Evil 4 is a fine game, I don't think Zero is correct...
You should give me the two Final Fantasy titles.

Nope. Only numbered one I don't own, I never had the money for it and I haven't been back to get it.

want to get it.
It's that bad.

Yeah; Just never play it. Of all the main FF games it's easily the worst in existence. But If you're dead set on it as a collector it's like 10$ on amazon or at a local gamestop now.
I'm actually a collector of rpg's myself. Just need TA2, FF5, 7, 8, and 10 owned by me to complete my Final Fantasy main series/tactics collection. I got 12 as a gift. D;

5 you can get on GBA, or on PS1 as a part of Final Fantasy Anthology. I have the Anthology version. 7 and 8 are must haves. I've never been huge on 10.

I've already actually played through all of them - I just borrowed most of em when I did.
5 I'm just gonna get on GBA since anthology is just redundancy of paying more. I think I'm getting 8 on amazon today on my list; dunno. 10 and 7 I'll probably get later, especially since 7 I've already played through before. I also got it as a gift from a rl friend on PSN before I went to brazil so that one can wait.
I think I'm starting to like the rpgness/final fantasy in here. <3

I'm one of the larger Final Fantasy fanboys you'll meet.
Mostly anything Squaresoft / SquareEnix though.

Hmm... what specifically would you like to talk about?
IV, IX, VII are my top three. I'd like XI more if it wasn't paypermonth.
Nobuo Uematsu is godly when it comes to video game music.

I meant to say IX/9; I should stop using numerals.
4 6 7 and 9 are just amazing. And you are indeed correct on Nobuo. I really enjoyed all the final boss themes from 1-10 myself and the chocobo song is addicting.
I actually had the victory fanfare as my sign in theme for everyone on MSN for a short while <.<

I prefer 4 and 9 to 7, 6, and 8 because I feel the Medieval setting works better, but regardless they're all amazing :3

Agreed on setting - I think 4 and 9 are easily the ones that make me think I'm in a fantasy world more than any of the others. The only one that does a similar job at that is Tactics Advance but it's literately set to actually be others fantasies.
I actually keep saying that the SNES and PS1 era's are similar because with general opinions:
4/9: The less noticed one but at least around as good as the others.
5/8: The one often ignored when discussing FF/Some say it's more half-assed than the other two (Well V kinda was; still an amazing job system)
6/7: The "This is the superior FF" one
Eh..I still haven't finished FFV. It resused the crystal bullcrap that FFI and FFIII had and I just...lost interest quickly. I'll finish it someday, I guess.
As for VIII, I love that game despite the aggravating guardian system simply because the story was one of the best in the series. Plus the last boss was a pretty epic fight. Not to mention that it, FFVII, Spyro the Dragon, and Brave Fencer Musashi were my first Playstation games. That being said I'll always like them.

It's that one FF game that gets better as you go; Easily. Don't want to spoil it there so I won't say some things on why.
Also the job system is addictive on it. Second best job system; First if you disclude Tactics.

"Last boss is an epic fight" Is kinda redundant because in almost every FF game the final boss is that. (Except 12 which was a disaster)
but yeah I liked VIII too. had one of my favorite soundtracks - The Man with the Machine Gun just sounds so awesome.
Well, I guess I meant in even comparison with other boss battles in the FF series. FFVII's was beyond easy and FFIX's wasn't all that epic because it kind of...came out of nowhere. The Kuja fight was, but at the time you thought that was the last fight. With FFVIII though after a certain point you knew who the enemy was and the boss wasn't a pushover. Ultimecia can intercourse you over if you let her. Sephiroth was weak as hell if you did every side quest the game gave you, which I have a habit of doing. So ultimately I was let down by FFVII's last boss.
I'm kinda shocked you didn't think IX's was that amazing/etc especially considering it's your favorite. The theme and the boss itself are so catchy; A bit too easy and everything but still amazing. And It's not like Ulticemia was all that antagonizing either.
Even in comparison to the rest of the series every other battle was still awesome; Difficulty is subjective due to the open world. If I was to base it off of that then FFV had the pooptiest final boss battle outside of 12 because I grinded my ass off due to the job system. They were all pretty close in actual awesomeness. The music was amazing in almost all of them (Through The Extreme is one of the better ones)
In terms of "Who had the most against that character" That would probably be the Kefka battle. But I do agree that If you didn't grind in any of the games that VIII has one of the harder battles.
...Well except 12. Vayne can go die in a fire filled with crocodiles and seamonkies.
Well don't get me wrong, I love the fight. It's great fun. Not going to spoil it for those that haven't beaten the game, but the fight really came out of nowhere.
What linearity? What are you talking about? FFVIII and FFIX weren't linear.

I still liked it D:
Wasn't really anything else you could go with either for the theme of that game; Having Kuja there and then the ending would just be the definition of mindintercourse ery
I meant to say the opposite. Any FF Final boss in difficulty is subjective to that because you can grind like mad in one and do another one straight through.
Ultimecia is easy as checkers if you actually junction Ultima, Full-Life, Triple, Meltdown, and Reflect.
