I would've posted this in feedback but people seem to post a lot of concerns and stuff here and instead of a long wall of text, I plan on approaching things differently than most others.
Since you guys have discussed this multiple times, like a few days ago when Mack said "Think of what we could be doing If we were discussing more productively outside of Power On" (I'm too lazy to get the exact quote) let's start discussing on ideas here productively in one thread. (Read: Productively - Not whining)
Now, I am not as active and haven't been in the 2 or so years of this forum, but my main notice is that we've had new members but not a lot of them, and then we get ones that aren't attached to the forums most of the time - Most of us came from the fact NSider died.
Here's the real question before doing any advertisement or getting more people to notice: What truly is the focus these days? The unique thing to bring about?
So yeah, begin discussing at your own will, or If you have nothing productive or just going to say "WE DON'T NEED MORE ACTIVITY", kindly leave the thread.
We're a smaller community that's slowly dying out.
I don't know what we can do to keep the place active without a little nonsensical fun every now and then.
Sleepovers are great and all, but we need more than that, and more frequently.
There is no real focus here anymore. We're just a forum that happens to have a section for video game discussion. Power On has more posts than every other board combined.
I think a referral contest might be a decent way to get other users to invite people here.
Everybody loves contests!
...Right?
The focus is a tight knit group of friends who enjoy each other's presensce if anything.

He's been here for like 2 weeks and he intercourse ing gets it.
We're not dying. At all. We are a small community, and we'll probably stay that way. We're fine as is, and we honestly don't need an activity boost like so many people think.
But, as NSFCD's focus, we really don't have one. We're just general gaming. That's our niche, despite it being so generic. If members don't want to stay, then the probably don't like us as members. And really, if one person doesn't like us, why should we change? To get more activity?
There's no reason to change anything (other than stop arguing with each other over nothing) we do at the moment. We're doing alright.

No.
Also, all the Oldsider remnants are going to NS2. I saw some of them joining there >_>

When Oldsider exploded, people were split between here and there. (Look at the stats from back then.)
There turned into an exact replica of Nsider, here became a small community.
That's why ex-members go there.
I blame the whining.
Seriously, it's getting to be a bit much.

Ah, yes, that's correct...
We don't need a boost in activity... we're close friends if you will... and I prefer it that way.
Fewer idiots spamming up the boards...
Kilroy and James, Mack made an excellent point in one of his posts before they were purged, and I never thought of it in that light before he said it.
We're getting cabin fever. Sure we're a small tight nit community, but you get sick of eachother after so long. We need some fresh blood. Not necessarily alot, but some.
For example, Titus is new, isn't he? He's a good contributor, and we could use more like him.
hi

I think we need a bit more then that. Why not "Which user who makes the more quality posts during that timespan"?

More events? Sounds good; Just need some ideas that are tossed around for that. As sleepovers, I'm fine with that monthly.
To Kilroy, Titus, and James:
I appreciate you guys giving in your opinions, but If you're just going to say "We're fine the way we are now" Then that's honestly not contributing to discussion here. Why the assumption that they'll all be Spammers/Idiots? Are you saying Titus, BoredFanBoy, and Myself are horrid? Thanks. I feel really loved by that comment l:

There; I just edited it in now so yeah. I really want to keep this to productive ideas. Having things like Sleepover events doesn't change the people themselves.

Looked at his older posts, he's SolidSNK. I would guess he left here for a while, maybe when our domain was stolen? No, no, he probably had IRL stuff getting in the way.
Ahh. Still, Third K and BFB are new(right? good god if they're not, we definitely need new blood) and they're good contributors too.

Third Koopa. He's been here before. I'm not sure if I'm confusing him with KoopaBros, but wasn't he on SIT?
I've only been an active user recently; Before I posted on the rhythm game board from time to time. My old name on here was "Thirdkoopa" But you're getting me confused with TheKoopaBros there.
BFB, Titus, and I technically aren't new, but we're still kind of new right now in a sense.
Regardless, it just comes to show new blood isn't always bad; It's just getting the new blood properly.
I am one of the very few people still here from Oldsider. :/
Though NS2 is nothing like Oldsider. Actually, I'm beginning to miss the strict rules at Oldsider a little :/

I don't have a sig, so I could care less. :U
Also,i guess the sigs and avatars were the only things I hated about Oldsider's restrictions. Also, the Goomba rank, etc, that mad me off the first three days, but I got over that after like, three days.

no uploading avatars also you need koopa to have a sig and your intelligence is based off of your post count.
ok now back on topic please; how you miss oldsider has nothing to do with the thread.

Can't blame you. koopa's are just that awesome.
Correction: I prefered the Oldsider strict rules over the NS2 retards.

This thread has nothing to do with Oldsider and NS2.
If you have no intents on contributing to the actual topic we're discussing, as I said before...
Actually just look at the first post. I hate repeating myself.
To get more people we need to be a more approachable forum like it was two years ago, right now, people make accounts but then leave because they're intimidated by the 'close tight knit group of friends' we are
and because the staff is corrupt, but I doubt there's much we could do about that.
Also, when people join forums (or atleast when I do) they look at all the boards. When they start posting and see that only Power On is active, theyre discouraged.

Didn't mean to make you feel that way ;________;
Sorry...
When I said that, I included you guys as being a part of NSFCD. You guys are too awesome NOT to say you're a part of our collective.
