I've gotten back into my old Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones game, and I want to get a new one, for the ds. So I was thinking either Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, or Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.
Which do you recommend, and why?
they are both great games, but I liked Days of ruin more, Shadow Dragon is just a remake of the first game so a lot of the things your used to aren't there
If you have friends to play with Advance Wars is better, but I hate how the computer can make an endless army in single player. To be fair, I never bought Shadow Dragon but I love Sacred Stones.
Havn't played advanced wars, so Fire emblem...
Even though the DS game is a remake of FE 1, and you should get path of radiance and Radiant Dawn if you're going to buy a fire emblem game or two.
Played both. Love both. But Advance Wars is easier to get in to, and I think you'll find it more interesting. Then again, I'm not huge into Fire Emblem. AW is pretty much my favouriite non-Star Fox/Pokemon Nintendo series.
If you like both series equally, I'd go with Days of Ruin. Why? At my local gamestop I Saw DoR for like, 12$, while Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon was like 25$.
But If you really want a new FE then go with Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn.

I knew YOU'd say this. >_> I don't really want to sit down and play one. Maybe if I get more hardcore about it, but to me it seems better portable. For now, anyway.

At my local Gamestop, they're both $10. Which I just realized means I can get both. Thanks you guys.
Fire Emblem.
Which reminds me, I never picked up the DS version. :(
I've always like Advance Wars more simply because of the modern weapons it incorporated. Fire Emblem is also pretty good, but how often do you get to blow up your opponents? Being able to assemble a vast array of units at your whim is also a perk.
