Title: i intercourse ed up hard in game, halp?

Basically, my Piplup evolved at 17, not 16, so I didn't learn Metal Claw. And for some reason, I skipped having my Shinx learning Spark at 13, and the only electric move he'll learn until then is at 29.

so uh what should i do, restart or what

also i only have one badge soooo

maybe.  Picking Piplup is a pretty big screw-up

i always go with water starters, theyre da best

I've beaten Pearl before, and it's not very hard to get by in game with Piplup. Half of the E4 are beaten with Palkia or Lucario or Roserade anyway. But some of the gym leaders are just easier knowing an electric move or you know metal claw

metal claw on piplup isnt entirely needed... you can catch a new shinx though.

Yeah really, anything that move would cover, water moves would cover.

@OP: You should probably restart if its that important. If I were you though I'd just continue on and catch a new shinx. If you feel Metal Claw is needed, later on you can go to Pastoria Move Tutor and get it. Just

Or, if you absolutely need a good steel-type move, Empoleon can learn Steel Wing through TM.

jk guys i was wrong about shinx and im at pastoria anyway

didnt realize how long you have to go in this game to get to the third gym

my post was cut in half...crap. Anyways yeah, Steel Wing is better.
